An activity which involves many of the processes of traditional dating but without the associated time and expense. The primary purpose is to create or nurture a romantic attraction which will lead to eBases 1 through 4 by utilising a variety of online services. Typical eDate activities include instant-messaging, yahoo games and watching the same dvd's. A successful eDate may result in an /invite request your date’s private IRC channel on Quakenet for cyber (sex). EDates are often criticised for not affording the participants the level of intimacy that can be achieved through physical interactions. Common precursors to eDates include eCards and eFlowers however many consider these totally gay. A: I went on a hot ass eDate with cheryl yesterday!

1 - A type of architecture used through the Middle Ages - changed slightly after the black death, but carried on through to the Victorian times etc.
2 - A style of music, derived from punk. Bauhaus, London After Midnight, The Mission etc. 3 - A style of literature and art. 4 - A way of dressing; different types include Lolita, Cyber, Romantic etc. A fair amount of black, mixed with other colours (purple, red, white, and in the Cyber case, neon colours). Gothic also extends in other ways such as home decor. 1 - Just check out Oxford for loads of Gothic style buildings!

a subculture known for unusual dress and tastes. black is usually the color of choice. there are different kinds of goths. cyber goths are known to wear more futuristic clothes and have multi colored hair (which is oftentimes worn in dreads). romantic goths are the "original". they dress usually in black with dark makeup. goths are known to appreciate the unique genres of music. electronica, new wave, industrial, ebm, and classical being most popular. many are considered to be above normal in intelligence and are often extremely contemplative in nature. examples of music : depeche mode, new order, the cure, orgy, visage, duran duran, missing persons, combichrist, kmfdm, nine inch nails, bauhaus, joy division (post punk, but ian curtis' dark vocals put the band in a "gothic" category) nick cave and the bad seeds....all examples of true gothic music.
examples of clothes : thrift store finds. as stated earlier, oftentimes black. lacey, antique looking gloves and shirts. doc maertens. thigh high black boots. bats, graves, ghosts are common jewelry themes. dark and unusual. i identify myself as goth, so ask me some questions and i will answer to the best of my ability. |

A distance junkie also gets themselves into relationships of mutual friends of their last long distance relationship, or from the same geographical location as the last one.
