Also spelled "dut", both spellings pronounced to rhyme with "boot". From "jury DUTy". What a pain in the butt! It's time for me to talk to that doot in front of me at the courthouse!

A court reporter, from the noise the court reporter's machine makes when the minutes of a trial are recorded. The clacker was stuck in traffic, so we have to wait until she gets into the courtroom.

|
A police officer who is unusually heavy-set, big-boned or tall, not necessarily brutal. A big, mean-looking copzilla pulled me over for going 65 in a 45 mph zone, but he wasn't snappy at all---as a matter of fact, he was very polite.
