A counter-troll is someone versed in the art of disarming an online troll, usually by out-witting, out-exasperating, or purposefully failing to be antagonized by the troll's actions. These actions are different from feeding the troll as the latter involves giving the troll ammunition and sating its hunger for chaos and bedlam, whereas counter-trolling involves responding to the troll in a manner that leaves him/her with nowhere to go in terms of antagonistic actions, and will likely deter him/her from further trolling. Note: Counter-Trolling must be done very carefully, as a desperate troll won't understand what's going on and resort to general pandemonium, resulting in combustion, turning the troll into a flamer. TROLL: Counter-trolls are gay.

Genuinely smart, a Master Troll is commonly the *most* clever of trolls who usually leaves other net-trolls and innocent preys mentally beat up ain frustration or even anger. Unlike common net-trolls, Master Trolls are at times a friend to many. He seldom or even never puts himself under the threads of others to seek attention. This often serves no purpose other than achieve some form of self-gratification, self-esteem boost, validation or attention-mongering. An excellent indication of the low-mindset and intelligence level of those who indulge in such practices. First trolls are excellent pickings for counter-trollers in flaming. Why did he put 'first'?

A term used mockingly to describe certain trolls. Most commonly used to describe 4chan sagefags (who attempt to kill a thread by saging enough times to trigger the automatic sage function) because most sagefags claim to be doing 4chan a service by killing a shit thread. The term is not all that widespread, as there's been somewhat of a crackdown on sagefags in the last year. Troll: saged for massive faggotry.
