Tokyo is the best, craziest, fastest, safest (relatively), city in the world. It is indeed a massive disorganized sprawl, and extends out forever into Saitama, Chiba, Yokohama, and even further to the west. The inner city has about 8 million people, then 12 million in the greater Tokyo area. The total conurbation population is as large as 33 million. However, to sort up all this mess is the world's best public transportation system.

Manchester is a city in the North West of England. The place is named from the old British name Mamucium plus ceaster, derived from the old Latin ‘Castra’. Manchester is a metropolitan borough with city status. The city has a population of 437,000 and is situated in the metropolitan county of Greater Manchester which has a population of 2,539,000.1 It is one of England’s core cities and is regarded by some as England’s second city, a title also claimed by Birmingham.2

The name ‘Manchester’ is often used to refer to the entire metropolis, much as ‘London’ is usually used to mean Greater London, but many of the constituent parts of this conurbation are substantial and separate towns (a city in the case of Salford) that retain strong identities. People from Manchester are called Mancunians. Manchester is an interesting place with a very rich history.

manchester has the cultural edge with its art and music scenes. birmingham has a population nearly twice the size of the city of manchester and is why it is sometimes called britains second city, but if that is that is the case the city of london without the rest of greater london boroughs has a population just over a fifth of that of stockport.the west midlands conurbatiion and the greater manchester conurbation both have a population of around 2 million and is why manchester is the u.k's second city.
