Electra Complex

Carl Jung's female equivalent to Freud's Oedipus Complex; the theory that during the Freud's phallic stage of childhood development, girls develop a sexual attachment to their father (or father figure), leading them to want to kill mother and marry their father. The name derives from the Greek myth of Electra, who wanted to avenge her father's death by killing her mother, who was responsible for the murder.

Guy 1: Don't date girls with an Electra complex, mate.

Guy 2: Why not?

Guy 1: They think their father is God; you'll never measure up.

Electra complex is when a girl is in love with her father or a father-like figure.

She's only 14 but she likes her 20-year old friend. She must have an electra complex.

Electrapus complex 

A combination of the Oediups and Electra complexes.

In the Oedipus complex, a man has sexual feelings for his mother, and the desire to dominate or kill his father.

In the Electra complex, a woman feels castrated by her mother, and resents her, and has sexual feelings for her father.

In the Electrapus complex, the woman has sexual feelings for her mother, and a dislike of her father.

These complexes are not to be taken literally. Not all men with an Oedipus complex actually have sexual feelings for their mother- most just end feeling desire for a woman that greatly resembles their mother, either in appearance, in personality, or both. Likewise with the Electra complex, and the Electrapus complex.

Girl 1: Man, our new prof is so hot.

Girl 2: But she's so much older than you!
Girl 1: So? I find older women attractive.

Girl 2: You've totally got an Electrapus complex, chickie.

The desire of a wife to seduce her father-in-law. This brings her into conflict not with the son but with her mother-in-law.

The basis of conflict BETWEEN women.

The inter-electra complex implies that feminism cannot claim to uproot patriarchy because patriarchy is the only artifact one woman has to differentiate herself from another woman.

electra femicide complex 

When a female character in a cartoon, movie, videogame, or any other writing either started feminine or started very masculinized or became masculinized by their creators to create a "strong female" character type. Masculation so can be so heavy that female fans can become self conscious about their own bodies in a very electra complex way.

A: Did you play The Last of Us 2 yet?
B: Nah who wants to play a game with severe electra femicide complex.

Many creators do this maliciously in an attempt to psychologically manipulate women into having penis envy.
