Codekas is a mythical Greek family nestled primarily in Southern California. It has been said that the mysterious comedy writer, Theo C. Spendekas, is a member, yet sources remain unclear. Codekases are known for their literary and alcoholic prowess and crude sense of humor. If you find one, it might just very well be the most memorable meeting of your life. Do not anger a Codekas, it can lead to a verbal destruction the like that would make the Lord of Hosts Himself weep on your behalf.
Yo Skylar, totes met this Codekas at the bar the other night. Totally tore Meagan a new one!

Codegasm: “The result of a code epiphany so awesome you must walk away from your desk to respect to it.” Side affects: Forgotten epiphany.
Oh freak! wait.. really? Yes! I've got it!
I just had the most epic codegasm. I've spent weeks trying to fix this problem.

Wait... how are we going to fix it again?

Codebase Dysmorphism Syndrome

Codebase Dysmorphism Syndrome or CDS for short, is a condition which programmer struggles with structuring, organizing, and defining their codebase. Individuals with CDS may have difficulty at doing things like naming variables with comically descriptive name or deciding if they should use camelCase or snake_case for their files, often these symptoms causes by stuff such as lack of code standards or being worried with future backward compatibility issue.

essentially it is like an existential crisis, but for your code.
steve: "oh man i don't know if i should name this class 'ModelAbstractBaseCoreFactoryManager' or 'modelAbstractBaseCoreFactoryManager'"

"steve is suffering from Codebase Dysmorphism Syndrome!"

Steampunk Codebase

A collection of code that works but is clearly the sole result of necessity, genius, or insanity. Steampunked code typically combines odd technologies and libraries in a way that makes an engineer do a double-take. Also characterized as a collection of code components that engender a response of "WTF?" by new codebase participants due to it not being apparent why the fuck someone would do such a thing. Steampunk codebases, when not rationalizable as truly necessary, drive good software engineers nuts in a visceral, usually quite loud, manner and can result in rebellion and heavy attrition if not addressed responsibly.
"Take a look at this steampunk codebase! Can you believe this shipped? I can't figure out whether the programmer who wrote this nuts or genius."

Power Couple

A relationship between two people who are equally as cool as each other. They are as individually awesome and fun to be around as they are when they are together.

Neither one depends on the other for their feelings of self worth- they know in their heart that they are just as valuable to the world as the other. Good looking, optimistic, and sparks a light in the world that people recognize that goes beyond a normal relationship.

In a power couple, if one person is flawed, the other person makes up for their weaknesses in strength. Together they are the epitome of what anyone would desire in a relationship. They encourage goodness in the world and make it a better place by being together.
I'm a fan of those two, they are such a power couple, the epitome of what anyone would want in a relationship.

I am envious of them because they are a power couple.
