What he is expected to implicitly understand by virtue of testosterone is that sexual desire cannot be negotiated. His efforts to put in currency in the form of service will not buy him sex or respect from his woman, despite harmonious reassurance from women of the opposite. Such feminine supplication will in contrast likely accelerate the deterioration of the relationship.
