Having read quite a few of the "definitions" on this site, I have to say there are some of you who are slightly mistaken. Actually, a select few of you are way off. May have been trendies/townies/preps that wrote them, I don't know. But I am going to add my definition to this zoo of mistakes. There were a few that did get the jist of it, but still I wanted to add my opinion to the masses. Before I begin, I just want to say that this is not a concrete definition of Goth since Goth can not truly be defined. This is how I see it. Goths in other parts of the world can disagree with me if they like, but this is the philosophy I was brought into when I turned Goth, back when I was 16. Goth has earned some pretty bad publicity over the past couple of decades. People have started stereotyping Goths because of things that they have heard in the news or on TV about supposedly "Gothic" children who ritually slaughtered children, claiming that they were Satanists. People started believing that we were vampiric, since a lot of us walked about wearing a lot of black and pale faces with copious amounts of eyeliner. Not ALL of us. But some of us. The first thing I want to clear up is that Satanism and Goth are in no way connected whatsoever, unless the Goth in question wishes to incorporate the two. An individual who doesnt classify themself under a stereotypical catagory. (prep,emo,punk,nerd etc.)

they dress how they want to dress, listen to what they want to listen to and do what they want to do and normally people respect that. an individual hates to be labeled.

street punk is a form of music for those who are working class or poor. those who dont fit in that catagory cannot relate to a street punks lyrics because they are not part of that lifestyle. street punks are usually alcoholics who drown lifes injustices with beer almost every day. drug use is most common aswell. the appearance of a street punk is deceiving, you may think that they look mean or stupid but in reality they are some of the nicest people who want the same things to happen in the world as any other decent human wants such as fair justice, unity and peace without war. they usually wear tight pants, leather jackets and boots. people think that punks are ignorent but its the opposite, when a punk walks by and hears a group of people call him a fag or freak this is ignorant not what the punk does in response to this. most punks dislike other punks they dont know (its ignorant and unexplainable)*PEOPLE WHO GO TO SCHOOL AND LIVE WITH THERE PARENTS DONT KNOW SHIT ABOUT STREET PUNK*its also common for street punk groups to sell out their roots at some point in their career contradicting what they once sang about.

2) Part of a World Championship team even though in his first year with the Yankees he didnt win a World Series he still brought his team to playoff contention.
3) Should have won Rookie of the Year just because the amount of pressure he fills in the pinstripes
4) The basic defintion of Robinson Cano is that he defines everything New York will become and is the future of one of the greatest dynasties in baseball...and BELIEVE ME,he will win a MVP, Gold Glove, and World Series in pinstripes...guaranteed.

M*A*S*H is a game that girls (typicaly)play to tell there future. Mansion*Apartment*Shack*House. One person makes a swirl until the player says stop. You count how many lines from the center to the outside. Lets say there's 6. So you make six lines to the right, left, and bottem of the swirl. At the top, the paper will say M A S H. To the left of the swirl, you put boy/girl names down on the lines. Underneath the swirl, you put 6 different car names (Ranging from a shopping cart to a Hummer). To the left, put #'s that "determine" how many kids you'll have. Once your paper is all filled out, start counting by six, starting with your first boy/girl. Whichever ones the 6th one, cross it out. Keep going around counterclockwise until you have on left in each catagory.

Friends with Benefits is a PC term for SLUT and/or Whore. This type of adultry falls into the same catagory. Call it what you want, but to have a friend with benefits just makes a whore out of you. Save yourself for marriage.

A peace-loving people that seeks a eutopian society. A lover of music, art and nature. Most hippys make something with their hands(clothes, soaps, jewelry) and have given up on a conventional life. People who love their country but are not afraid to question their government. Misrepresentations of hippys. 1) Not all hippys do drugs and when a real hippy does do drugs it is typicaly a natural substance(ie pot, coke, shrooms.) Most, like me outgrow this phase. 2) Not all are as liberal as you think. I for one own guns, it is our right. We simply dont believe that our government is doing enough to combat the injustices of our society. If anything they are feeding off it. 3) we are not all broke. Seeing as most of us have gone to college, eventually, we graduate and get a job. 4)We are not all animal rights activist or vegans. Animal rights activist can be violent, and hippys dont believe in violence, we do love animals but would not blow up a building to prove that.
Although some hippys choose to take up a cause or not to (by doing alot of drugs) you cannot lump us all in to one catagory. Trying to find two snow flakes that are just alike is impossible. A good hippy takes care of their body and their "Phamily" and donates something to society. All of us love our music and love our Phamily. And yes, we do love our homemade clothes, drum circles, dancing barefoot, festivals, and discussing religion and politics until dawn.
