Perhaps the most fucked-up disorder to ever grace this planet. It's when someone holds the delusion that someone they know—a friend, relative, spouse, pet, anything like that—is replaced with an identical imposter.
Discovered by psychiatrist Joseph Capgras (who is also the namesake of the disorder).
