A person who plays video games by just hitting random buttons. Usually in fighting games and done by inexperienced gamers.

I can't stand playing Mortal Kombat with Joe, he is such a Button Smasher.

Smashed the carry button 

To absolutely go off and put the whole squad on your back. When one person is the sole reason the team succeeds.

Example 1:
Jeff: “Sicko mode” is a banger, but it’d be way worse without the Drake part.
Melvin: Yeah Bro, he lowkey smashed the carry button.

Example 2:
Dustin: Ay, did you boys catch a vicroy last night?
Jamaal: Fuck yeah dawg, and Marcus had 19 kills.
Dustin: Damn, that boy smashed the carry button.

A noob who insists on playing video games that require complex sequences and just pushes all the buttons...getting lucky and kicking your ass.

Todd is totally a buttonsmasher...that's the only way he can beat me in Tekken. This is also why he sucks at WoW.
