(noun) An awkward instance between two heterosexual men who come a little too close for comfort, and for a nanosecond want to have sex with other. Usually followed by red-faced silence, brotherly punches, or light-hearted ribbing about each others mothers. The broment is never referred to again.
Used in California, maybe other places too. "OMG, I think my boyfriend just had a broment with the quarterback!"
