Except to nothing knowing football fans, most wisconsinites, mississippians, and packer fans, one of the most overrated players in NFL history. Yes he's thrown more touchdowns, and yards than anyone before, but its not that hard when you started every single game since your second year for 16 years(and throwing too much), and no thats not resilience, thats just luck not getting hurt. Playing with a broken thumb doesnt count, it doesnt even hurt. OOOH BOOO HOO a thumb! To add to that, he broke the all-time interception record of George Blanda. Guess how long he played? 26 years. Not kidding, it took brett 9 years less to break it. To add, people think its awesome that he played after his dad died, if you know brett favre and his stubbornness(evident now in the recent packer vs favre case), you know he only played because he wanted to keep his streak going. Dumbass arrogant packer fans think hes the greatest quarterback ever, when he's not. I'll give him top 10. Yes his stats are good(minus being the INT King), but after players retire, they are remembered for winning, not stats. His .500 record in superbowls(1-1) is pathetic compared to Montana's(4-0), Bradshaw's(4-0), or even Brady's(3-1). People also praise him for winning 3 straight MVP's. It's not 3, its actually 2 1/2, due to the fact that his third, he split it with Barry Sanders, barry just gave it to him. Some packer fans even mistake others for him, i've personally witnessed it, thats how dumb they are. All in all, brett favre is nothing but a overrated, over-throwing, a little above average quarterback in the NFL who should stay retired and keep modeling for his hick, wrangler jeans.
1:Dumbass Packer Fan: HEY! thats brett favre!
Intelligent Sport Fan: No thats not. That's Steve McNair.
2: Person #1: Who should i draft in my fantasy football draft? I go #7 overall.
Dumbass Packer Fan: Draft Brett Favre! He's gonna be a beast this year!
Person #1: That might be a good idea
Intelligent Sport Fan: you're kidding right?! haha, i'd rather draft Ryan Fitzpatrick
#3 Arrogant packer fan: I really hope brett favre doesnt retire.
Intelligent Sports fan: why not? hes an old, washed up piece of shit. Yeah he had a good season last year, but look at his weapons. Greg Jennings, Donald Driver, Donald Lee, Ryan grant?! It's not that hard to be that good, he got pretty lucky too.
Arrogant Packer Fan: so? he basically makes the packers.
Intelligent sports fan: who gives a shit? wouldnt you rather win, and have a chance for the superbowl than to just have brett favre?
Arrogant packer fan: eh, prolly not. i love brett, i'd prolly blow him.
Intelligent sports fan: typical.
Although he sometimes gets a little bit over-covered and he is shown as some type of hero, he is actually a pretty tough guy. I am sure you guys have heard of it, but he played a season with a broken thumb, he threw 4 TDs and 398 yards in the FIRST HALF of a football game which was only a day or two after his father, Irvin, died of a heart attack while driving, his wife recently was diagnosed with breast cancer (but is in good health) and his brother-in-law was killed in a ATV accident at his Mississipi home, and he has the longest consecutive games played record for QBs, which spans over 12 years, or something like that. He has won one Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers and started his career with the Atlanta Falcons. He was a 3 time MVP, 3 years straight. Some people put him down all the time, saying "the record is stupid and is easy for QBs", well I dont see anyone else even close, so deal with it. He also never mentions records, and doesnt even keep track of them, often times not even knowing of records untill being told by the media. Hes one of Wisconsin's favorite players and favorite people. Hes a down-to-earth guy also. Ok, I'm done with my praising. One negative thing-sometimes he doesnt make smart throws and he often forces passes and throws many INTs. But definately a Hall of Fame player. ..once he hangs the cleats up
Favre... Not again... just throw the ball away...
I hate it when people spell Favre, F-A-R-V-E... its Favre. Just remember on "Theres Something About Mary", when Ben Stiler makes a comment about Favres last name.
Brett Favre may not be the best anymore as he once was but he is certainly one of the best. Everyone is too hard on him for not being what he once was. That's ridiculous because they're insulting one of the best quarterbacks to ever play football. Naturally you can't expect him to be that good forever. He ages ya know...
In the 2004-2005 season he popped his shoulder out of socket...went and punched a wall...knocked it back in...came back out on the field to win the game. There you have it.
someone who doesn't know what they want. They can't make any final decisions. If they do make a decision, they don't stick with it. They keep changing their mind.
"So, is your boyfriend moving out?"
"Oh, I don't know! He's pulling a Brett Favre. First he wants to stay, then he wants to move, then he wants to stay, then he wants to move."
Brett Favre = GOD in the state of Wisconsin
In wisconsin Brett Favre is God
The art of quitting something, making it a huge deal, only to return to it one or more times.
Jim: "Man... I can't believe Jay Leno would leave the Tonight Show just to start his own show."
Sam: "Yea he pulled a Brett Favre!"
God... Often associated with pure, unadulterated, GREATNESS... also, often referred to as a "LEGEND"... could beat Chuck Norris in street fight... makes every other single person seem worthless
Brett Favre is, well, GOD!
To accomplish something great and quit on the postive note, only to try it again after and fail miserably.
Ty: "I can't believe you just made that shot on the first try!"
Chris" "I know that was insane. I'm done though. No no, let me try that again."
Ty: "Dude that wasn't even close. You just pulled a Brett Favre."
