1. PHP
PHP is a server side scripting language primarily developed and used by the open source community. It is frequently used in conjunction with Linux, Apache, and MySQL, as part of a LAMP set up.

According to their history, the phrase originally stood for "Personal HomePage", and now stands for "Hypertext Processor".

There is a hidden history, though. The initial uses of the language were for serving porn pages, and later, developing an online booking and tracking system for 'escorts'.

As a result, the initial developers began referring to the language as "Pimps, Hoes and Playaz".
"Ugh, I have to write this stupid blog software for this client who doesn't want to use an existing solution."

"Use PHP."
2. argicle
Any article, but typically a blog post, that makes the reader say "*arg* I want my five minutes back."
"The dude wrote an argicle about an 'advance login sytem' in PHP that stored passwords in plaintext in a cookie."
3. permalink
A URL that references a webpage, often one that is dynamically rendered, which displays the information of a single article (usually from an RSS feed) that was featured on the main section of a website but will be or currently is archived.
1) The articles on the frontpage of my blog are generated from an RSS feed, so I'm including a permalink for each page; I just POST the article ID to a PHP webpage that dynamically displays the desired content.

2) The permalinks to all my articles are just SSI pages with filenames of the article IDs. The server includes the XML document of the page with Perl include calls, and I use CSS to control how they are displayed.
4. tire swing
The tendency of the media to be enamored with John McCain. Being "on the tire swing" is often used on blogs as a shorthand for being in the tank for McCain. It originated from a reader of Talking Points Memo and refers to an overly chummy gathering of media people at McCain's ranch. See: http://talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/209567.php
I wouldn't expect much from the interview McCain interview with XYZ, he's on the tire swing.
5. twitfail
To fail at the use of Twitter.

6. Tree Monkey
Derogatory term for a filipino, pinay, or pinoy. This is a real term used and rarely in person - originally refers to the fact that as recent as 500 years ago, they were still uncivilized jungle people who's highest evolution was the use of tree houses, (in trees, of course).

Today its used by foreigners as a jab at how proud filipinos are at their assumption they posses any actual intelligence because they were thought how to send text messages and create yahoo accounts. If they ever see anything slanderous to their self-importance mind frame, they will enlist the help of all 1000 literate filipinos to spam the site in question.

Most notably, they flood travel sites with fake tourism reviews and the importance of their nurses - which are hired only to bypass minimum wage laws, not for their skills. They give nursing degrees to teenagers who were solely responsible for introducing H1N1 to the Middle East.

Although they hold the record for being #1 in mail order brides and #2 in prostitution, they banned Alec Baldwin for a comment he made on an American talk show in an American state.

One of the greatest insults to filipi...
