A band that people only like because they are "funny". They are NOT the best band in the world, that is just absolutely stupid. They aren't even proper musicians.. they don't know any guitar scales, or even how to fucking play a guitar anyway!! They don't define the word "'punk', they don't even touch punk. And as far as "never being as good as Greenday" as someone said.. GREENDAY FUCKING SUCK DICK TOO!!! All punk sucks. Punks are crap at guitar, all they can do it twang out a few fucking power chords and they think they're amazing. They only usually use around four chords for each song.. along with four or 5 pitches to sing at. And every song sounds the same. The only good musician from the band is Travis the drummer. Blink 182 are a mockery of music, punks are just too stupid to see this. Simple things please simple minds. Blink 182 can't play to save their lives, Blink 182 can't sing to save their lives, Blink 182 are closer to pop, any Blink 182 fan can't sing or play their instrument(s) properly.

Blink182 is a rock/pop band.. used to be a bit more hardcore and relatively punkish, but never really punk. For one thing, you can understand the lyrics. Still pretty good band, just not punk. Sold out? Maybe. Who cares? "Blink182 isn't punk. Neither are you. Shut up."

-neo-punk (may be consider as pop punk or prep punk) -is commonly frowned upon by hardcore, punk, and classical rock fans -has a strong cult and following -is known for a voice that is slightly more high pitched voice than other punk bands, highly distorted guitar, very easy bass lines, and good drum lines. -known for being reckless and the usual hooligan teens -in my opinion, they are usually not given the credit they deserve because they are commonly not popular around teenage boys, and are dubbed "gay" or "bad music" by peer pressure. "Blink 182 sucks! Metallica Rules! yeahhhh!!!! RIGHT GUYS?!"

A great band that may have sold out, but still rule. Doesn't SELLOUT just mean that more people like them? Isn't that a good thing to have a big fan base? Who cares if a band is a sellout, if they still make good music, that's all that matters. Wow, people trying to make their point, I don't understand it. EVERYONE IS ENTITLED TO THEIR OWN OPINION.

blink 182 did not sell out. they did sign on to that one record label, but why? not to make more money, but so their ideas and beliefs could reach out to mainstream culture, to the dummys they sing about. otherwise, no one would have ever heard of them or what they believe in. the best band ever
