1) A most wonderful band in the opinion of many. They actually came from humble-to-hectic roots in California- all children of deadbeat parents, but all musically talented. Their usual music is literally exactly what an unhappy, confused, and possibly disgruntled teen goes through; subject matter ranges from sitting around being piss-drunk or stoned out of your mind to being afraid of love.
Now, sadly, it seems that this music has changed, as well as the Green Day image we all know and love. Since when have they swapped ratty old blazers and jeans for tight black pants and pyramid belts? We miss the old Green Day, even though their new music isn't too shabby.
2) A full 24 hours spent smoking marijuana.
1) Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tre Cool are the 3 members of Green Day. Currently, they also have Jason White- backup guitar, as well as other various musicians who help them play. They're quite rad.
2) God, you're really fuckin' lazy! You've had two green days in the past month. Get a job or something, you sad-ass.
Reserved intellectual who reads but mostly writes breakthrough thoughts. Sits in cafes with notebooks sprawled everywhere. Likes blazers and grandpa's closet.
"I think that Liberati only wears glasses so he can take them off and rub his forehead like a tormented intellectual."
the only reason o'connell is better than pvi at sports is because they have more kids to choose from for the teams. Smaller schools aren't going to be the better at sports obviously. duh. oh and by the way pvi's uniforms dont suck compared to djo, we don't have to wear sweaters AND blazers. And whoever decided to comment on uniforms in the first place is just retarded. name one school that actually has a COOL uniform. no one likes uniforms, that's why you pay to dress out.
Guy1- i hooked up with this slut from o'connell this weekend
Guy2- well no sh*t she's a from HOOOOO Connell!
ohhhhhhhhhhhhh you guys are so ugly
Fact: Boys’ Latin is a lax players dream. We are number 1 in the country year in and year out. People try and hate but let’s not forget we are the smallest school in the MIAA. A large percent of our population comes from money and we are all blood thirsty REPUBLICANS. Our senior lot is filled with all forms of suv's and the occasional bmw or benz. you can tell who's care is whose by the stickers on the back for OBX, ACK, lax, VT, and W 04’. WE are all a family and we all sport the mullets during lax season and we all sweat the plaid blazers and we all worship Mr. Spencer. Who else wouldn’t like a teacher who got fired for letting a kid piss in a bottle during class. “Excuse me, Elian, what the F are you doing”. “Well.. just pissing in a Bottle Sir”. Responds with, “Nice”. Don’t forget Mr. Bowling. His ashes will one day be spilled across lake ave. Whoaaaa! WE are the classic ‘joke’ school where education is secondary to lax. SATs? Ahh just for the ones who don’t play lax, almost forgot. WE all treat each other with respect and we all give the teachers hell. It’s a party off of FALLS, step on it! We throw some mean times but they usually get broken up by the Balto County Cops, who are to busy going after underage drinking than rapists. It’s a place where the headmaster hires alcohol and drug people to come in and try and get us to sober up. We prefer BL, or Bud Light to you retards. It’s a place where you can go grab a brew with your lax coaches after graduation. It is a p...more...
June 24, 2005 Urban Word of the Day
The theory that history and culture (i.e. fashion, music etc.) repeats itself every couple of decades.
Its plausibility draws from the fact that most parents raise their children with the same ideas that their own parents asserted upon them.
There are many similarities between the war in Iraq today and the Vietnam war .. It's almost like a retrograde revolution.
Hopefully, a retrograde revolution involving the 60s and 70s will begin, and groups will actually start playing some real music.
The comeback of blazers is part of the retrograde revolution.
"Scene" is a culture made mostly of teenagers and is relatable to emo. It is a culture derived to reject the "norm". Scene kids might often be quoted as saying "I hate people that arn't themselves" or "I dress this way because this is who I am!". Ironically, there has become a set mold which scene kids seemingly strive to fit, and they all look/act the same.more...
"Scene" guys often wear:
-tight t shirts, often from elementary school/middle school, or picked up from the local thrift store.
-tight blazers and jackets, even during a warm summer.
-Long, greesy hair, cut and dyed at home, with bangs that cover 1/2 of a "scene" guy's face at a 45 degree angle.
"Scene" girls often wear:
-Bright colored makeup
-Short, choppy hair, usually thicker on one side, and containing 2+ colors.
Scene kids are almost required to own a myspace page. Here, they will network with hundreds of other scene kids, post dozens of pictures of themselves (from different, crazy angles and more often than not, incorporating a bathroom mirror), and write blogs a...
The nicest city In the United States. Lots to do for active Liberal minded outdoor folk. Laid back atomosphere. Much better than Vancouver BC or Seattle. Those two cities are rude and filled with thugs and drugs and annoying folk. Especially Vancouver, My HOME. I would like to relocate in Portland some day in the future.
Go Blazers, and then to the book store. Portland in a nutshell. Beatifull women as well.
