a gangsta- A child who grew up in an environment you honestly don't want to know about. Was generally exposed to traumatic events during his childhood, most of them violent. Has lost many or most of his family members and is struggling to keep what's important to him in the only way he knows how (violence or crime). Generally this person was never given a chance to succeed because of early circumstances out of his influence.

a thug- A man dedicated to gathering the attention of those around him, with multiple shows of bravado. Will perform minor acts of theft sometimes and will often try to mimic the actions and words of other thugs seen in music videos. May live in the ghetto/suburbs but will refuse to participate in any real crminial activity.

a traitor- Often know as an oreo, any black man who after showing signs of intelligence, is willing to pursue his potential as an intellectual human being. Will talk proper english and will enjoy reading and learning. Has shown tendancies of hatred towards those of his own skin color brought on by previous ridicule.

Malcolm X (May 19, 1925-February 21 1965), aka Detroit Red aka El Hajj Malik El Shabazz, was a civil rights activist during the civil rights movement of the late 50's and 60's.

Malcolm X was born Malcom Little to Earl and Louise Little in 1925. Malcolm's father was killed by the Ku Klux Klan while he was still young and as a result his mother became distraught after her painful loss and ended up in a mental institution. Malcom moved to Boston with his sister Ella shortly afterword and got a taste of the way black people acted there. He started wearing wild zoot suits, straightning his hair known as a method called "conking," and smoking reefers. He hooked with another cat named Shorty and they became friends, living it up at the Boston dance halls where they did wild, frenzied dances called the lindy-hop. It was there that Malcolm met a white girl named Sophia and they became a couple. Back in those days it was a big thing for a black man to be with a white woman because it showed he had class. But at the same time the white woman got with the black man because of his "sexual athleticism" as Malcolm called it.

Like many others in the past, a word/name used, usually by the African American race, to get anybodys attention. Like many other words or phrases started by the black people, such as "Homie", "Dawg", "Fo schizzal, my nizzle", the term "big son" will eventually start being used by all races....especially the caucasian/white people.

A word used by ignorant white people to offend Black people inadvertantly (because sometimes they are just grasping at straws for a reason to feel oppressed, not all the time, just sometimes) because the white person really didn't know what it meant and just happened to ask her black friend, because she also happens to be her coolest friend, the one most familiar with slang. I would have asked a person of any race were that person better connected than Gaia with american vernacular, but she is the best I know.

An oppressed white guy is someone who thinks that words like 'cracker' are as bad as 'nigger,' and likes to pretend that when he uses the word nigger, he's not doing anything wrong because black people use it. Oppressed white guys also think that Feminism is a threat to their masculinity.

They don't realize that white men have not been disempowered by society at large, and pretend that they're under attack.
