A defensive player flailing hopelessly and missing a blocked shot, most often caused from a well-executed pump fake.

Term was coined by former NBA Star and current Cleveland Cavaliers broadcaster, Austin Carr, who regularly uses the term when calling games.
He got himself a bird on that play.

A person who behaves in a crazy way, sometimes resembling the tweeked out behavior of a crackfiend. Also can mean a dumb person in general

Drugs. Not necessarly a brick. A bird can range from a brick all the way to a gram. A bird flying in the street means that it was broken down and selling in smaller amounts, making the dealer a lot of money.
