| 1. | Bankgisto | ||
|
A lazy Italian person, who sleeps too late in the morning.. In some small Italian Communities is known as "Bankgisto", Which means "Bankers Hours" My grandmother used to yell at my uncle who lived with her. He didn't work, but she would expect him to get up by 7 AM. If not, she would take her pots and pans in his room, and bang them together and say to him, over and over "Bankgisto" "Bankgisto". Since she would get up at 5 AM, she thought him sleeping till 7 AM was Bankers Hours..A very funny slang to me.
