One time... at Band Camp... I DIED
by DeeJayFour November 23, 2003
Also known as hell week(s). You run, stretch, march, drill, learn work (color guard) and music (band), and practice all in extreme heat. Which all results in muscle cramps, soreness, bruises, broken bones (color guard; on occasion), dehydration, and tiredness.
Band camp sucks.

I think I broke my wrist today at band camp.

A program of varying length wherein high school or college students practice marching and the playing of musical instruments. Activities include instruction, drills, and lots of hot geek sex.
Sally got her instrument thoroughly tuned by the director at band camp.

A code word for a swinger's club.

That way you can talk about it and people listening in won't know what you're talking about. They'll think that you play an instrument which is sort of true because you play the skin flute at Band Camp.
What are you doing after this? Going to Band Camp. I need to find a trio or a quartet.

A place that teenage musicians go to in the summer to play music with people they've just met. Attendees will commonly make friends and never get to see them again. One big misconception is that the students will engage in sexual activity at the camp, this is untrue partly because of chaperones, and partly because of an in-ability to speak to the opposite gender
1. Dad: Did you meet any flute players at camp son?

Son: Yes, because it is a band camp....No, when you learn to play an instrument they teach you to take care of it....
2. Mom: Did you meet any flute players at camp?

Son: Shut up mom!!!

a place that makes the band kids feel part of something, when in complete actuality, no one outside of the marching band, cares about.
"This one time at band camp" "no one cares..."

Band Camp is usually a one-two week experience at the school you attend. Marching drills are learned while in the sun getting wierdly shaped tan lines. American Pie is no definition of this. "One time at band camp...I put a flute in my pussy." That's a lie. It's basically physically impossible. Band camp is a time where students can learn their drills for football games at half-time, chill with friends and make new ones. In band camp, students usually go through basics, full enmemble, sectionals, drill, and parade march. Full ensemble is when the entire band gets together and practices the music or routine they learned in sectionals. Marching is usually not required. Sectionals is when tubas, battery, pit, flutes, trumpets and so on seperate and learn their own music so the leader of that group can focus on one person at a time. Drill is when the band goes on the field, or anything size related as far as sidelines and hash marks, and learns movements. Parade march is basically getting in lines to march in a big parade. Basics are boring streatches and marches learned to make a nice band.
