- write and compile non-TCPA software - sell non-TCPA hardware TCPA cuts down what you can do with your comptuer. Freeware and open source go right out the window. "But can't I just get Linux?" Think again... TCPA is in love with the Fritz chip... which is HARDWARE. Once you can't do anything with computers, then nobody will be able to use them for bad stuff! See? It's simple! TCPA makes it possible!

2: Software designed to make computers easier for lusers to use, but ends up teaching them bad habits which cause them to wreck their computer or otherwise make using it more difficult than it needs to be. Much of the "bonus" software that comes pre-installed with home computers sold by major manufacturers tends to fit one or both definitions of "retardware".
