The proper term for the more commonly known, Atreyu.

A genre of music that started long ago from the punk movement. Eventually, it died down and now hardcore has become heavily confused with overrated untalented whiny-ass screamo/emo/trendXcore bands such as Atreyu, Norma Jean, and pretty much any other band worshipped by "scenesters"

Nu-Hardcore is basically the subgenre of hardcore that sucks. Among the many, this is probably the worst. Acts like Atreyu fit this perfectly. Lame. Go listen to some 1998-metalcore like ZAO or Living Sacrifice, PLEASE.

A modern version of metal music, this genre includes bands such as KoRn, Slipknot, System of a Down, Limp Bizkit, Tool, iLL NiNo, Disturbed, Godsmack, Staind and a lot of others that are just too shitty to even mention. Like any genre of music, nu-metal has its good and bad (except for emo, it's all bad). However, nu-metal is almost always violently attacked by Metal Snobs who think 80's metal is the be-all-end-all of music.

While I am a huge fan of Metallica, Megadeth, and Black Sabbath, I believe that there are some really good nu-metal bands, and the people who constantly rip on nu-metal are fuckups, losers who listen to punk/emo/indie rock and stoners in their mid forties. Get it through your heads, death metal and black metal fucking suck. Go rape some school girls or pretend you're "dark" and "evil" because you like listening to some Scandinavian fag scream about the devil. Death/black metal fans love to say nu-metal gives metal a bad name, but it's really the death-head morons that rave about murder, human sacrifice, killing babies and Satan who are responsible for that.

The truth is, in many cases, many young people who start out listening to nu-metal are later introduced to old school metal; a lot of metal fans enjoy both because they appreciate variation. You want to bash nu-metal? Target losers like Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit.

jimi Hendrix- He defines overrated. His boring guitar tone, bad vocals and sub par guitar playing somehow make it past the critics, who praise him as original, inventive, unique, influential, talented and a musical genius. He's not. All he did was speed up already bad blues music added some distortion and there you have it, Jimi Hendrix. He admitted he was a bad singer, so there's nothing to point out there. He was not a skilled guitar player, everything he played sounded the same and it all blurs together. Sure he has some good moments, but most musicians do. Most of his playing is sloppy and it all blurs together into one big, boring blues re-hash.

Nirvana- Kurt Cobain was NOT a guitar master, he didn't write paticularly meaningful lyrics, he did not re-invent rock music, they are not the greatest band of the 90s. His playing was sloppy in the studio, and absolutely terrible live. He was constantly on drugs and his music shows it. His voice was terrible, grating and very studio-altered. Pick up a Nirvana bootleg to hear what he really sounded like. Sloppy and out of tune. His lyrics only made sense to him, it's stupid to see so many different analyzations of them. Chances are they are just random heroin-induced ramblings.

Oh, Scene kids....What to do? what to do?
Well scene kids think themselves to be emo, post-hardcore, metalcore or Hardcore. They are often mean towards those less "scene" than themselves, strive to be the first within their friends to adopt a new trend. They have "emo bangs" Which are sideswept bangs. Many scene kids have guages and they think the bigger you get the more cool you are. They try to be everywhere that they know more scene kids, and other groups like the popular kids, or the punk kids will be, so they can stand around smoking cigarettes and trying to act cool. Lost of scene kids have piercings, and the most popular is the lip ring. Scene kids act lie their lives suck so they have to slit their wrists to let away the pain, even though most are pretty well off, with good family and a good amount of money. They try and act way more tough than they really are, always threatining to kick someones ass. they love dinosaurs, robots, polka-dots and little girl bows/clips and headbands and all the things that were cool when you were 5 years old.The boys wear girl pants and tight shirts, and same with the girls. A normal boy outfit consists of: Girl pants, crooked studded belt, tight band t-shirt, and a zip up band hoodie, sometimes black eyeliner, black or darkbrown hair with "emo bangs"flipped to the side, maybe a bandana.
