| 29. | tankie | ||
|
A hardline Stalinist. A tankie is a member of a communist group or a "fellow traveller" (sympathiser) who believes fully in the political system of the Soviet Union and defends/defended the actions of the Soviet Union and other accredited states (China, Serbia, etc.) to the hilt, even in cases where other communists criticise their policies or actions. For instance, such a person favours overseas interventions by Soviet-style states, defends these regimes when they engage in human rights violations, and wishes to establish a similar system in other countries such as Britain and America.

The term is used to distinguish the rare individuals with these kinds of beliefs from communists more broadly (including Communist Party members), whose adherence to Soviet doctrine and attachment to existing "socialist" states is somewhat weaker. It is always more-or-less abusive in the sense that those termed tankies do not use the term themselves, but it doesn't have any particular bite (unlike, say, Trot). The term derives from the fact that the divisions within the communist movement first arose when the Soviet Union sent tanks into communist Hungary in 1956, to crush an attempt to establish an alternative version of communism which was not embraced by the Russians. Most communists outside the eastern bloc opposed this action and criticised the Soviet Union. The "tankies" were those who said "send the tanks in". The epithet has stuck because tankies also supported "send... |

| 31. | Europe | ||
|
A small continent neighboring Asia by land and Africa by the Mediterranean
Sea. A continent that seems to have mastered how education should be dealt with. Has a fairly decent agenda of knowledge unlike the opposite of the Atlantic, but does not overwhelm themselves with loads of knowledge. (unlike Asia) A continent that once could dominate the rest of the world with a fraction of its military power, but is now overwhelmingly inferior in that same aspect to the nations they once ravaged. A continent with the highest standard of living in one side, and starving beggars in the other. A continent whose only economical refuge is Nokia, which will probably disappear into oblivion as well. The technological market has been throughly consumed by Korea and Japan, and everything else by China and USA. The birthplace of nearly all modern beliefs. Credited with their ingenious insights on the humanities and the sciences. A confusing place that provided the underlying ideals for anti-racism, (i.e. Natural Law) but houses too much racists A continent that still believes that they are the best in the world. Europe has been dead since the last Great War.

| 32. | neo-Communist | ||
|
A Neo-Communist per.se is pretty easy to define and hard at the same time.
Why this is so: As the word implies, it is a 'new' generation of Communist, albeit most are students (as where it learned from), few are more and less anti-Authitorian proletars (low class workers), and pledge alliance to Marx's theories, but defy Soviet and the like (China, perhaps Cuba) as inferior attempts on it, not genuine ones, and state-capitalistic enterprises with vague socialistic elements. They often share sympathies with workers, activists and anarchists. Most neo-Communist are so presumably because of a rebellish fad, or attitude, but most of them reject Totalarianism, saying it was never a part of leftism. Transistionary states are a heated subject, and neo-Communists are often followed for their ideology, because they are placed in the same class of despot-supporters. Neo-Communists are often atheists or agnostics. Most of these frequent RevLeft.com, and are born at most in the 70's or up. Karl: I heard Joe is a Commie?
Jarl: That's not true, he is a Neo-Commie! Karl: What's the difference? Jarl: He doesn't believe in a dictatorship of the proletars, i.e. no vanguard party. |

| 33. | pronatalist | ||
|
One who encourages childbearing, either out of some practical or religious belief that human populations were designed to grow naturally, or one who believes human populations should grow nearly as large as possible, to benefit nearly as many people as reasonably possible. A pronatalist is likely to be offended by a draconian anti-child policy, such as China's "one child" policy.
Pronatalists naturally oppose human population "control." |

Major Provisions of HR 4437
more...
The following is a summary of the major provisions of H.R. 4437, the Border Protection, Anti-Terrorism, and Illegal Immigration Control Act of 2005. The legislation passed the House of Representatives 239-182 on Friday, December 16, 2005. “Unlawful presence” would now be considered a crime and a felony, meaning that undocumented immigrants may have to serve jail time and would be barred from future legal status and from re-entry into the country. Immigrants, including asylum-seekers, victims of human trafficking, victims of domestic abuse, and children who are apprehended along an international border or at a port-of-entry would be detained until such time as they are removed from the nation or otherwise provided immigration relief. Anyone or any organization who “assists” an individual without documentation “to reside in or remain” in the United States knowingly or with “reckless disregard” as to the individual’s legal status would be liable for criminal penalties and five years in prison. This could include church personnel who provide shelter or other basic needs assistance to an undocumented individual. Property used in this act would be subject to seizure and forfeiture. The use of expedited removal, which would permit DHS enforcement personnel to remove a potential asylum-seeker without providing an opportunity to appear before an immigration judge or qualified adjudicator, would be mandated within 100 miles of the bo... |
