Conotation(neg):arrogant, proud (of nothing), stupid, hick, redneck, bible thumpers, etc

The "first nations", the only 'true' Americans, as they where the original 'owners' of the land.
Note: First Nations did not have a concept of ownership regarding land. I think.
Stereotypically: loud, arrogant, proud(in the 7 deadly sins fashion for all you christians), lacking in intelligence, etc
In reality: A nation of people, some live up to the stereotype, some don't, some live up to the american dream, that is: work hard, but alot of stuff and you'll be happy, but not all. The American culture is a loose conglameration of many different cultures, centering on european cultures because of the "melting pot" philosophy
To those of you who dislike America, think of this: Hypocrisy is to tote beleifs you yourself do not have, to say all americans are arrogant, stupid, proud is itself and arrogant, stupid and proud notion. Thus you either think these actions are great or are a hypocrite.
Americans do love their country, even with it's faults, but don't most of us love our country of origin? And don't all countries have faults?
2. A term of nationality for a United States citizen, a nation who's population approximates 70% of western europe. Certain states within said nation are larger and more densly populated than many countries within Western Europe, which makes travel within and particularly outside of the nation monetarily prohibative for approximately 50% of the population. For that percentage, governmental working standards do not provide paid holiday remotely simiar to world standards (10 days per year.) These conditions prohibit experience outside of a limited sphere and therefore perpetuate ignorance and indifference. This results in the unfortunate election and re-election of a system who maintains these standards in the name of 'patriotism' and 'freedom;' whilst never really providing either iconic ideal. This group maintains psychological function by instituting self-protecting biases of uniqueness and self importance to maintain integrity, and anything that threatens it is fiercly defended against, furthering the vicious circle. Perhaps after witnessing certain evidential and undeniable mistakes of their chosen system of rule, the population will over time begin to realize that the government is providing more regulations than freedoms and will moderate their opinions accordingly. With the passage of time, perhaps these citizens can accept, and be accepted to a place among the world's great nations, rather than claiming their right as the 'best.'
Americans are truly for the most part caring and giving people. Most people wish they could be American. There are thousands, maybe even millions of foreigners who try every year to get that coveted citizenship.
Most are tolerant, but there comes a time when enough is enough, that being said it is almost the norm to bash Americans and if an American show any sense of pride they are labeled a dreaded "Ugly American"
Americans are for the majority the complete opposite of the bible thumping hick stereotype.
Americans are of various races, religions and cultures a young country that is better than the countries who consistently bash them yet ask for our help when their pathetic and lousy asses can't get their shit together!
Americans can handle being called every negative name in the book by citizens of countries that are suppose to be allies. Some of these foreigners are in the US spouting their hate and they wonder why we don't like them????
It seems as if being a "super" power is not so super. If it means dealing with bs like anti-american rants. Americans just plain kick ass. It is just fact. Anyone who is an American basher is nothing but a lowlife piece of trash who only wishes they could be the shit coming out of an Americans ass. To those Americans who are ashamed of being American go fuck yourself. And to the other Americans keep Rockin'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2.Oh no! My country is in trouble! we need help call an American!
Umbobo is from Nigeria, and although he lives in the United States, he lives under the assumed name "John Bobo", steals money from people, and considers America his personal toilet. He operates with impunity because he knows the law can't catch him, and they will just deport him if they do catch him, and he can just come back and shit on everyone some more. Umbobo is NOT an American, he is a piece of shit.
Jose is an undocumented migrant worker. Jose finds it easier and easier to skirt the law, and eventually outright break the law to suit his needs. Although there is a legal process for living and working in the United States, Jose chooses to do whatever benefits him the most instead. Jose sends his kids to public school and gets free healthcare at the county facility, but does not pay taxes. Jose engages in identityh theft by using someone else's Social Security Number to obtain employment illegally, and in some cases, he uses their personal information to sign up for bank accounts and credit cards. Why not help himself? He feels that since he lives here, he deserves it! 15 of Jose's closest relatives live with him in a 2 bedroom house, parking vehicles on the lawn and trashing out the neighborhood. Jose's kids have been brought up to disregard the law, and are arrested on a regular basis. Since Jose's oldest kids are also illegal, they just get released instead of incarcerated, because the cops don't want to fill out the extra paperwork, and the legal process to incarcerate illegals is too convoluted to follow. Jose knows that this is because his government, the mexican government, is closely involved in forming US policy regarding mexican illegals. Jose's kids are growing up to be competent and dangerous rapists, thieves, and murderers. Jose takes pride in his mexican heritage, and prominently displays a mexican flag in the back window of his truck. Jose feels that it's COMPLETELY UNJUST for him to be expected to put forth an effort or pay for services he receives. Although Jose LIVES in America, he is not an American. Jose is a parasite.
