Somone who, when it comes to religion, doesn't give a damn either way.
Person1: Praise *name god here* !
Person2: There is no such thing as "god".
Person1&2: What do you think?
Person3: If there's a God, awesome. If there isn't, a lot of people are going to be pissed. I really don't care either way. I'm agnostic.

23.
Litteraly meaning a lack of claim to knowlege. Generaly is refering to a lack of claim to knowelge about the possible existance of god(s).
One can be an agnostic theist. Meaning that while they personally believe in a god they are open to the idea that they could be wrong. Or an agnostic atheist who personally believes there is no god(s) but also admits they have no real way of knowing the truth.
The term agnostic is ment to be used in conjunction with the words theist or atheist but will often be used as a stand alone deffinition of ones beliefs. Agnostic's will often be split in the middle of these two phiolsophys.

Is the opposite of gnostic- meaning a claim to knowlege.
Agnostic person: "I don't think its possible to tell if there is or isn't a god but I respect your beliefs as long as your not murdering or raping people as part of them."

Other agnostic person: "We will find out the truth on this issue when we are dead and I would not care to die sooner just to find the answer."

24.
Someone who's intelligent enough to admit perhaps they cannot hold a certain claim about anything that does not have physically sound evidence. They are not unsure of their beliefs, but rather are abstract thinkers.

The existence of a higher being can neither be proven nor disproved. Perhaps life itself does not exist but is rather a figment of another being's imagination? Does anything even mean anything at all? If you can't figure it out, it's not important enough to care about.

Now go do whatever the heck you want instead of being confined or conformed to beliefs that were made by whoever however long ago and then mass produced and tailored to the media.

If religion never existed, would we even know the difference? Think for yourselves. That's what famous philosophers are, just people who thought for themselves.
Lady: And what religion are you dear?
Me: I'm sixteen and a agnostic atheist. I believe in my own philosophy on life, created as i experience it.
Lady: Oh... that's delightful...(confused look)

25.
Someone who finds his life meaningful enough to pursue; without admitting or dismissing a God, and tolerant enough to respect either ways as a possible answer.
Believer: The great unicorn is omnipotent
Atheist: There is no a great unicorn.
Agnostic: naah, it doesn't matter.

27.
Someone who believes that knowledge is not possible for themselves, some to different extents. They may believe that knowledge is possible, but paradoxically, it's impossible for them to know. While one will confine this to the metaphysical, most famously, regarding the existence of God, others will believe that they can know nothing at all, as not even their senses can be trusted.

Agnostics are often well-educated, and even more often do they see themselves as such. An agnostic, by virtue of their belief, typically sees themself as a very skeptical and critical person, and indeed, they usually are. They are often more intelligent on average than those who believe they know things, or at least, so the stereotype goes. Because of this, they often develop a sense of superiority, by which they can logically and rationally transcend the arguments of less-intelligent theists, who tend to be the most vocal ones.

An agnostic esteems above all else the scientific method. It is the infallible absolute of the agnostic. Everything must be empirically demonstrable to an agnostic, or it cannot be known to exist. A typical argument an atheist would use against a theist would be: "Since you cannot prove the existence of your God, how do you know that he exists?"

An agnostic attempts to apply empiricism to absolutely every aspect of reality. A thing does not exist unless it can be "scientifically proven". A modern understanding of science is the typical rhetoric of the agnostic.
Theist: "Do you believe in God?"

Agnostic: "I do not, because it is impossible to prove the existence of God. In fact, I do not believe it is possible to prove the existence of anything, as everything we've known is a product or our subjective consciousness."

Theist: "Are you sure?"

Agnostic: "Yes, I am 100% sure."

OR

Agnostic: "If a thing cannot be proven scientifically, there is no way to know that it exists"

Philosopher dude: "But you are assuming the existence of knowledge, which in itself is a totally abstract concept that is entirely unprovable by those means. If you are to apply the scientific method to every facet of knowledge, with our current understanding of perception and cognition, it would be impossible to trust your own senses, and everything would be unprovable, and hence, you could know nothing at all, including the validity of the scientific method."

Agnostic: "Any ideas of yours cannot be empirically proven, so I need not listen to you."

Philosopher dude: *facepalm.

An agnostic is somebody who believes in agnocism. Which is a belief that there might or might not be a God. They don't live by strict religious rules, but are not atheist assholes. unfortunately agnostics are rejected by both atheists and religious peoples, but religious people tend to be more understanding towards them. Agnostics do worry about an afterlife unlike atheist that think people just stop existing after death (sucks to be a dead atheist). Agnostic people are more open minded than atheists and are a lot less annoying since they don't call their opinions facts all the time.
1. Matt Groening may be an agnostic, but at least he's not an atheist like that jerk Seth MacFarlane.
2. Atheist: You're agnostic right? Tell these catholic nerds that there is no God and that they are stupid for not sinning.

Agnostic: I can't say that because there is no proof that God does not exist, I'm just not sure which religion is right!
Atheist: The fuhrer will be very unpleased with you, how dare you disagree with me! Everything I say is fact! If there was a God I'd be him.
Agnostic: Right, why don't you sleep on it.
Atheist: We shall one day take over the Earth and when we do you religious peoples and agnostics will suffer!
