V.I.P. is an acronym for "Vanilla Ice Paraphrase." It means changing one small part of something and claiming it as your own. Just like Vanilla Ice did in his hit song "Ice Ice Baby." He used a another songs melody and claimed it as his own because of one small change.
"Shall I compare thee to a summer's morning?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of June,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date".
When a person is confronted with the plagiarism of the poem above the accuser might say, "Just because you V.I.P. a poem doesn't make it yours!"

1) Very Important Person.
2) Variation In Production.
Used in electronic music
(such as drum and bass
) when a producer
remixes their own track. A VIP uses major elements of the original version but differentiates the track as a whole.
1) I'm going to be in the VIP area.
2) "Red Mist VIP" by Danny Byrd is sick

Q: Who decides that a person is important enough to use the V.I.P. lounge at Heathrow airport and what are the criteria?
A: Nope, V.I.P. stands for “Very Impolite Person”.
Variation in Production.
This occurs when drum and bass/dubstep (and probably other types of dance music) producers bring out a different version of the same track. The purpose is to surprise the crowd with something different but memorable. Usually only tracks that were originally popular get the VIP treatment.
It is not the same as a remix
, which changes the original track quite significantly, sometimes only keeping a few elements of the original song. Quite often remixes are a different genre entirely.
A lot of VIPs are never released commercially, and are instead given solely to DJs to play out.
