Despite starting off as a simple minded prankster without much skills, naruto has turned much more mature after sasuke's betrayal.(his 'Best friend'*cough).

He has the Kyuubi(the nine tailed fox) sealed with in him by his father, 4th hokage, who was trying to protect the village from it. In turn having kyuubi inside him gives a reserve of almost unlimited amount of chakra. But as Kyuubi's spirit is menacing, he rarely uses it, unless in life threatening situation, or extreme emotions...

Even though he still retains some of his childish behaviours (ramen, pranks etc)..by part 2 he's one of the best in the whole series. Now he trains to enter sage mode, allowing him not to use kyuubi's power, but still be very strong. Even without Kyuubi, naruto is one of the strongest in the whole series (not THE strongest)...but with the kyuubi....well let's just not go there....he hasn't released kyuubi's full power yet...

Even when he was 12..orochimaru(the legendary sannin) ran away from him when he turned in 4 tails form....and he still had 5 more tails & sh8 load of tricks that go with it...

SasuNaru is short for 'Sasuke x Naruto' or in other words; Uchiha Sasuke and Uzumaki Naruto. If there is ever a canon yaoi pairing in Naruto, then it would most probably be SasuNaru. In fact, many people would even say that SasuNaru would be the most likely pairing in the whole series, if there ever is any. Although many other people may deny the two ever getting together, they still can't deny that Sasuke has feelings deeper than comradeship toward the oblivious blonde haired boy.

Shonen Jump Question:
Naruto and Sasuke kiss (accidentally) in the first chapter where they appear together. Does this add a special dimension to their rivalry?

Masashi Kishimoto Answer:
I didn’t have any particular reason for it, other then to surprise readers. I mainly did it because I don’t think there has ever been a manga where two rivals kissed. Also, by having this encounter, it was easier to set up the love triangle: Sakura, who had intended to be the first one to kiss Sasuke, has it stolen by her rival Naruto, Sasuke and Naruto are rivals, so there’s and added tension there. And so on and so forth.

If one would look closely to Kishimoto said, then he'll notice that he said that Naruto was Sakura's rival (in love?). Which means that Sakura somewhat sees Naruto as a threat in her quest for Sasuke's affection. ...

Deidara is a missing-nin from Iwagakure and the partner of Tobi. His gender is sometimes confused due to the Japanese language's sparse use of third person pronouns, which forces translators to use their own ideas of Deidara's gender to make sentences flow smoothly. This has caused a lot of confusion, since both "he" and "she" are used to refer to Deidara. However, Deidara speaks of himself using male pronouns and has been given a very deep, male voice in the anime. Deidara was originally teamed with Sasori, whom Deidara referred to as Master Sasori. This is probably because Deidara had a lot of respect for his fellow artist. He also admits that Sasori was a lot stronger. Despite that, Deidara still argued with Sasori about what art is and directly disobeyed his command in spite of a threat to be killed. Deidara held that art is transient, departing quickly. Sasori believed that fine art is something wonderful that's left long into the future. This reflects their individual natures (Deidara makes clay sculptures that explode, Sasori makes long-lasting puppets out of humans). Deidara outwardly seems to respect Sasori's beliefs, but couldn't resist getting a final jab in after Sasori's dea...
