A nation which, along with being one of the few remaining superpowers of the world, is filled with all types of people. The USA is a multicultural nation consisting of a Caucasian majority, which will have changed to an Hispanic majority by the year 2050.

Unfortunately, most of the world (including many Americans) does not realize that, though we throw the word "democracy" around quite a bit, the US is a Republic, modeled after Rome. If you can’t tell the difference, look it up.
A few important facts about the United States of America:

1. We are not all stupid, nor are we ignorant or intolerant.

2. Yes, we have had bad leaders. So has every other nation on Earth. Unfortunately, the US is under a bigger spotlight politically than most of the world, and our mistakes seem bigger. Get over it.

3. America is as full of patriots as it is dissenters, and that is one of the things that make the country great. The ability to speak freely and without reason to fear the government is more than many nations can boast.

4. Yes, we speak a mockery of the English language. Don't fault us on how we speak, because every language came from another.

5. No, we don't hate Canada. As a matter of fact, Canada and the United States of America would be bestest friends if they were individual people.

6. We have the longest standing Constitution of any nation today, and we are proud that we have maintained a strong relation to our roots.

7. We are not all arrogant, racist, ignorant bastards, so please, stop using the Internet to call us so. Also, really, how many people who comment on our ignorance have met an American from the majority of the population? (No, COPS is not an accurate representation of the majority, and I suggest you stop watching the program, it rots your brain)

Most powerful country in the world, and home to the strongest military force to ever walk the Earth, started by a group of rebels. Almost everyone in the world hates the United States, thinking that Americans are ignorant pricks who don't know the first thing about even their neighboring states, and hate people that are not Christians of European decent. although those people only make up a *very* small percentage of the American population. In fact, we Americans tend to hate people like that, because they make the world believe that we are all like that. These people mostly reside in Alabama.

Yes, we do have a lot of problems(like our economy), but nothing is completely perfect. This goes for countries, as well as people. People that hate on America seem to exploit the imperfections, which is easy to do. It would help to do research and find out if the negatives in our community that are so often exploited truly outweigh the positives, like everyone thinks.
Washington D.C. is the capital of the United States of America.

A pretty cool country once you get past the pompous douchebags, rednecks, hipsters, gangsters, extremists, and so on. Unfortunately the people of my country are often stereotyped as ignorant, racist, and self-loving. This is true in some cases, but don't worry, we hate them too. Contrary to people's thoughts, we don't attempt to take credit for many of the world's inventions, nor do we believe we are "OMG NUMBAR ONE!!!1!!11!" in every single category. If you aren't a prejudging asshole, you'll actually find America to be a humble, successful nation, though sometimes detached. Even if you still hate us, we do have cool stuff. Like New York City, the Grand Canyon, space shuttles, mountains with past presidents' faces on them, (American) football, and fairly good equal rights. Unfortunately my nation is home to several undesirable things, like bigotry, obesity, irrational suspicion of nearly all brown people (even our own President for God's sake), popular "musicians", idiots, and so on. But again, we are a generally neat country, and we appreciate the rest of the earth as much as you do.
Prejudicial European: Those Americans pay no respects to the people that they have built upon! And all 310,000,000 of them are morbidly obese!

Average citizen of the United States of America: Most of us are actually fit to some extent, fairly educated, and pursue useful careers! Also, we acknowledge the great history of Europe, and their involvement with us over the past 240 years!

The world's wealthiest nation. A great democracy within its borders and a vicious dictatorship abroad.
Person 1: Isn't the United States of America the greatest nation in the world?

Person 2: ...

Person 3: He doesn't know his green card status yet.

A great country that is heavily stereotyped, (just like every other country), contains 50 mostly good states, has one of the largest populations, has territories all around the world, and was founded on July 4, 1776 due to the writing of the Declaration of Independence followed by the American Revolution. Urban Dictionary probably isn't the best source to get information about it. For a more in-depth and unbiased opinion, look on Wikipedia
The United States of America is the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Also known as America, USA, United States, or The States; it is often the center of stereotypes and misunderstanding.

No. Not everyone in the country is fat. In fact, Germany has more overweight people than the United States.

No. Not everyone is arrogant and self-centered. Just like every single effing country on the planet, America has it's share. But many many people are kind hearted and thoughtful

No. Not everyone is a gun-toting crazy bastard. The United States may be high in crime, but there are more than 300 million people spread through out the country. Many foreigners come to America thinking they'd have the freedom to take someone else's freedom away.

No. Not everyone is stupid. Without America, you wouldn't have the internet you are on right now. Without America, planes wouldn't be as developed, or even invented. The US has a mix of millions of people from around the world: their knowledge combined.

Yes. The United States is having some financial problems. So is everyone else! Give the country a break! Only being 235 years old, already being a superpower, and fighting in 2 World Wars, you have to give them some credit. The countries in Europe existed for thousands of years. They had thousands of years to get their government in check.

The United States of America has come very far. The people have different cultures in different areas; from New England, to California: everything and everyone is different. Don't judge on stereotypes.
"The United States of America sucks. I'm moving."
"Everyone is fat, stupid, and lazy!"
". . . So are a bunch of people in Canada, Europe, and Asia."

located in North America between Canada and Mexico, it used to be a great place, and it still is, sort of.

has a lot of problems stupid people in the government don't know how to fix because they are obsessed with power. the only place where more and more money is dumped into union schools and kids still get lower test scores(solution: charter schools, but union leaders are too fucked up in the head to realize what's right). a lot of people around the world now hate us, and they don't have a good reason to. america is the world's policeman. what power would have stopped Hitler from taking over the world, huh?

home to various races, and the government here is more racist than the people.

media is everything, and entertainment is one of our main focuses over being productive.

trashy people are everywhere, but there are a lot of good people too.

America: good and bad!
Am I proud to be an American? uh...yeah...ok

United States of America: home of the...most obese pop.?

The US is pretty much going down the drain.
