"The Travis Field Opener" Happens when there is a "Person" in the Room who Noticably, has something completely different about them, that this Characteristic or Trait is Not found or Noticed amongst any single other person in the Crowd. This then becomes the perfect 'subject' line, or 'excuse' to use, to try and weasel into/hit on someone, as they have noticed the difference also, and their thoughts 'would be' the very same to yours. Guy to Friend: Hey, I wanna talk to that girl but got nothing to say..
Friend to Guy: Well, just use "The Travis Field Opener" See that guy over there With that stupid Pink hat, dresses better than everybody, and the Girls keep checking him out - Use him as your subject line! Guy: "Like OMG! Is that Guy over there Wearing a - what is that?! a 'Welders Hat?' to a Bar? Like who does that?" Girl: "Yeah, it's Pink! too.. lol And he's got his entire Outfit all color coated & matching.. Guy: "Haha Yeah! I noticed that too!
