The band name comes from the Coheed and Cambria story. Although the name comes from the story, it is still unclear if The Inferno ,a.k.a. Jesse, is the same character as in the Coheed and Cambria story. Inferno is a person who was originally an IRO-Bot (Intercepting Recon Operative) He was one of three oringinal IRO-Bots. Coheed (The Beast) Cambria (Knowledge) and Jesse (The Inferno). Athough the IRO-Bots are robots, there are very much like a human. They can reproduce, eat, drink, and die.

The amazing bassist for the band Coheed and Cambria. He also does the backup vocals (screams and such). His name is usually shortened to Mic, pronounced as "Mike".
He left the band in August 2006 due to personal problems. Thankfully he returned in April 2007 and has stayed ever since. During his absence, Matt Williams filled in the bass parts.
He was originally a guitarist, but picked up the bass for the pre-Coheed band Shabutie.
He uses mostly Spector basses, though has recently been favouring Fenders.
Michael plans on releasing a solo album in 2008, which he was working on during his leave. He says that it will be "more folky and more simplistic" than Claudio Sanchez's solo project, The Prize Fighter Inferno. He lists Ani Difranco and Ingrid Michaelson as some of his influences.
