an old gothrock band from the late 70's and early 80's.
theyr still around today but theyr music isnt as awesome anymore. not gothrock anymore either
robert smith, the lead singer is really cute and huggable looking with his poofy hair
theyr incredibly and sadly trendy and annoying trendy kids who listen to them should shoot themselves
youve probly heard of the album kiss me kiss me kiss me or the song just like heaven
if thats all you know shoot yourself
if you dont even know that then come out from under your rock
My favorite band. They started playing 1976 and they still play today. They've released over 20 albums and they aren't limited to just the 80s because they released many albums in the 90s as well, plus a 2000 album and a 2004 album. Robert Smith is the lead singer. In the 70s, the band used to be called The Easy Cure.
BTW, The Cure is NOT classified as goth rock. The media wants to call them that, but they're not. Robert Smith himself denies the title. They're actually considered New Wave. They did one or two goth rock albums, but that was it. In fact, their first album or two was actually punk music!
Maybe we didn't understand, not just a boy and a girl...It's just the end of the, end of the world!
Pure heaven. Best band ever and if you don't know who they are....grrrr.
:Puts on Cure cd and no longer hears the rest of the world:
one of the best bands ever
hey man wanna go see the cure play at coachella????
yeah wouldn't miss it for the world!
The best band of the 80's
The Cure are the 80's!
My favorite band. I was a bit dissapointed with their new album but who could top "Pornography," the masterpiece that describes Smith's darkest hour? Or maybe "Disintegration," the classic piece of art which feels like the voices and echos of the most beautiful beings on Earth are roaming inside your heart.
"I forget how to move when my mouth is this dry and my eyes are bursting hearts in a blood-stained sky"--Homesick
The kind of band that can lift you up when you listen to them. I can't help but smile when I listen to a Cure song. Especially "Inbetween Days"... *sigh*
Oh, and Robert Smith...*deeper sigh*
You need to listen to the Cure.
