A really pretty symbol, which is also fun to draw. In ancient times, it was used all over the world as a symbol of good luck and prosperity.

If I had an organization, then I would totally use a swastika as the symbol of it. But it turns out Hitler beat me to it.

So now the swastika has the exact opposite meaning of what it used to be- except for some random white supremacists.

Sometimes I just don't know about that Adolf.
Me: I love drawing swastikas- they're so pretty!

Jew: I HATE YOU, you Nazi!!

Me: Up yours!!

Jew: *sobs and runs away*

As any know-it-all 15 year old will tell you, the swastika was originally an anicent Hindu symbol of good fortune and prosperity. However, it was used reletivly recently by the nazis and is still used by various hate groups. One would have to be very foolish to use the swastika with the anicient connotations. Would you wear a swastika armband to wish everyone else good luck?
"Intellectual" 15 year old-I have a swastika drawn on my comp book because it used to be an ancient symbol of good stuff.

Senseable Person-But now its a symbol of the Nazis, racism, and bigotry, and is offensive to millions around the world. Besides, its not like the swastika has had its meaning "reclaimed". Get rid of it before people think that you are actually a Nazi.

Think of it this way: Cadillacs used to be symbols of youth and wealth. Now they are symbols of old age. Does driving a Caddy make people think that you are young and rich? No, usually people see a Caddy and imagine that some old person is driving it. Same basic idea.

It dosn't matter what the Swastika used to mean, in today's context it is a symbol of extreemist nationalism after being corrupted by Hitler as the symbol for propogating his Nazi party and ideology of a superior race. This ultra nationalist and anti-religious belief brainwashed millions of Germans into doing completely unreasonable and unthinkable acts in the name of a suposedly infalible fuhr who was not to be questioned. Dissidence was unaceptable under this regiem. This movement began by planting seeds of good intentions, but was quickly corrupted and used as a tool of mass murder.
Any person wearing the swastika imediately associates themselves with extreemist left-wing warmongering Nazi ideology, the enemy of peaceful developing nations.
The swastica represents an atrocious disregard for human rights, dignity, and life.

The symbol of the Nazis and usually used in hate crimes.

The symbol painted on the back of Riverbend Square, except backwards, by Chase Rodrigue.
That Chase Rodrigue can't even draw a swastika the right way!
