A signature song, and also the breakout single, of former emo-rock band Fall Out Boy. There are many theories as to its exact subject matter, considering the band never stuck to one story. However, the general consensus based on the evidence (including the music video, which is a metaphor, and the fact that the original line in the second verse is "Wishing to be the friction in HIS jeans) is that the narrator is actually a girl, specifically one who has fallen in love with her gay friend.
