An anime movie about a 10-year-old girl who gets trapped in a spirit world and tries to save her parents. A wonderful movie; the imagination and story is really cool!
Spirited Away is one of my favorite movies.
1) In Japanese culture/folklore, to be abducted or carried away by the spirits; most often happens to children.
2) A movie by the same name by Miyazaki-sama. An excellent movie.
"The children all disappeared on the six-o-clock bus. It's called being . . . Spirited Away." --Rei, Bishoujo Senshi Sailormoon; Vol. 3
???: "Next to "When the Cat Returns" and "Mononoke Hime", "Spirited Away" is one of my most favorite Miyazaki films."
The best movie made in Japan by Hayao Miyazaki, that shows off a little of Asian pride.
A Japanese movie about sterotyping Americans.
I've been spirited away to reading anima.
A really awesome Japanese anime movie about a little girl (Yuriko) who is trapped in the spirit world, and finds help from the spirits to save her parents, and return home. I've never seen any movie like it, and really is very good. I would not reccomend showing it to young children, for the movie has several creepy scenes that may provoke nightmares.
Me: Hey, have you seen Spirited Away?
Idiot: Ugh. Yeah. It was a load of crap.
A 2001 Japanese animated film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki and produced by Studio Ghibli. The film follows a sullen ten-year-old girl who is in the process of moving to a new town (presumably in the countryside) with her family, and chronicles her adventures in a world of spirits and monsters.
