Where the wealthy people of Charlotte choose to live. South Charlotte is THE area to live in Charlotte. The richest neighborhoods are the Seven Eagles neighborhood, which backs up to Quail Hollow Country Club, South Park, and of course, Myers Park. Designer shopping is plentiful, just go to South Park Mall and you have it all from Louis Vuitton to Gucci to Tiffany & Co. Many of the kids in the area go to either Charlotte Latin, Providence Day, or Country Day which all have tuitions that cost more than most colleges. European cars are everywhere, while stopped at a light you will more than likely see at least 10 Mercedes, BMWs, etc. around you. Lots of people here have some type of plastic surgery, botox being the most common. Even though Charlotte is a Southern city it doesn't feel Southern at all because most of the people that live here are from other places all over the country. Charlotte is becoming a very trendy city, but if you live then South Charlotte is the place to be.
Quail Hollow Resident- How do you like living in South Charlotte so far?

Newly Arrived Los Angeles resident- I love it here! It's pretty much exactly like the west side. Mansions, mercedes, and designer shopping. what more could a person want??

Quail Hollow Resident- Glad you're happy here, we will have to go shopping and to the club one day.

where people with money in Charlotte eat, live, and play. Where kids either go to Myers Park or Providence, or the three top private schools (Latin, Country Day, Providence Day). Where families play at Quail Hollow, Myers Park, Carmel, or Ballantyne Country Clubs on Saturday and then are dressed in their best for church (Presbyterian or Methodist, of course) on Sunday. Where Harris Teeters are on every corner. Where the roads are wide, upscale shopping plentiful, and the recession not felt. Where crime is (for the most part) an afterthought, and where steakhouses and Neiman Marcus reign supreme. Where Old Money Old South, in Quail Hollow and Myers Park, meets new money New South, in Ballantyne and Providence Country Clubs. Where business in Charlotte and the Carolinas is done and where the benefits are reaped and spent.
Person 1: Are you moving to Charlotte?
Person 2: Yeah, I'm looking at houses in Myers Park and Ballantyne.
Person 1: Ooooh, south Charlotte.

the wealthier side of charlotte, except people have no taste. they are all like robots, and all the soccer moms drive honda odyssey mini-vans, shop at target, and carry around their ugly vera bradley diaper looking handbags. people never eat at home, and the lines for chick-fil-a and wendys are like an hour long. instead of making their parents buy them nice cars, the "rich" north carolina redneck farm children buy pick up trucks or jacked up jeeps and spray disgusting shit mud all over them. people in south charlotte think that stonecrest is the shit, except it is just a stupid strip mall and it is probably more crowded than downtown on the weekends. the whole year consists of looking foward to the family vacation to either mrytle beach or hilton head, depending on if your house has wheels or not. everyone pretends to be a virgin, but they really gave it up when they were 13 at their annual youth group retreat.
south charlotte soccer mom: lets go to church yall! have you seen the new vera bradley bags at carolina place mall?!
south charlotte pta mom: no, but i think we should ban art books from barnes and nobles because they have nudity and i dont want to deflower my childs virgin eyes!
