Portland, Oregon is the one of the most beautiful, clean, and unique city on the West coast. Though Portland may have many different 'scenes' and 'types' of locals (yuppies, hipsters, folkies...etc), we all have have something in common...the love and respect for our environment. It's an artsy city as the Willamette river divides the city in two creating even more subcultures. However, as city development continues and housing prices start to rise, what used to be cool parts of Portland are turning into high-priced, fabricated yuppie scenes.
Aside from all the outdoorsy activity that Portland offers, the city hosts an awesome music scene. Many great bands come from Portland and most bands that travel from San Fransisco to Seattle stop at one of many Portland's great venues.
P.s. Californians stay out
Portland: Hour to the beach, hour to the mountains, less to the George. Wonderland
1. A city in the northern part of Oregon, One of the only cool places in Oregon (unless you love nature) and one of the few cool places in the Northwest. It's a small city that has a good atmosphere and nice people. It ain't no mother fucking New York City but it still rules.
2. Portland, Maine
1. The City of Roses, PDX, Bridgetown, USA
2. Not as good as Portland, Oregon.
The nicest city In the United States. Lots to do for active Liberal minded outdoor folk. Laid back atomosphere. Much better than Vancouver BC or Seattle. Those two cities are rude and filled with thugs and drugs and annoying folk. Especially Vancouver, My HOME. I would like to relocate in Portland some day in the future.
Go Blazers, and then to the book store. Portland in a nutshell. Beatifull women as well.
Largest city in Oregon and the only fun place in Oregon as well, except mt hood and bend. We are all members of blazermania, but hate the team when they suck. Brandon Roy is basically god to portlanders. We hate seattle and everything to do with it. Blacks have north portland, white trash has gresham, rich whites have the west hills and lake oswego, middle class whites have Beaverton, asians have bethany amd rock creek, and the mexicans have hillsboro, it's pretty simple. We don't have sales tax and we'll do just about anything to keep it that way, even if it means taking money from the schools. We all love nature and the outdoors, most portlanders go to the beach or the mountain on weekends. 23rd is our 5th avenue. We also have burgerville, probably the best fast food restaurant ever. Portlanders are extremely proud of the city, it's pretty much the best place to live.
Key terms if your a tourist:more...
Freddies= Fred Meyer, we buy pretty much everythig from there
Civil war= football game that's basically bigger than the superbowl. U of O vs OSU

Terrwilleger curves= at 6 in the morning and 6 at night, pretty much hell on earth
Hillsburrito= How portland solved illegal aliens, we gave the mexicans their own city to fuck around in.
Democrat= we all are, don't bother asking
Sunriver, cannon beach, and bend= our heavens on earth
1977= the year the blazers won the NBA championship, everyone knows this
