The word used by blacks as show of solidarity in hypocrisy. Nigga comes from the word nigger, a term that originated in the old American south and was popularized by racists as a means of degredation. Used with a thick southern accent the word negro comes out sounding like Nigger.

Today blacks continue to defame thier own kind by using the word as a means of social masculine familiarity. Only ignorant and self hating blacks use the term because of a feeling social inadequacy that has been fostered by a parental figure or public racist such as Louis Farrakhan or Jesse Jackson, who continue to claim that even in the year 2009, when a black man is President and an unfair system of affirmative actions (which give prefferencial treatment to blacks in the work force over whites), that blacks are still horribly oppressed. Many blacks allow white people who have earned their respect to use the word nigga. Some however will become enraged if a white person uses the word nigger. This mind numbing double standard is falsely reffered to as reverse descrimmination. Many believe that until blacks eradicate the rampant use of this ugly word in their community they will continue to suffer from a type of self inflicted neo slavery, a slavery of the self.

Nigga is a word which evolved from the derogative term "nigger". Tupac best defined the distinction between the two.

A derogatory word used by black people to retain (and exploit) their ancestors past as slaves. Many blacks claim it's a term of endearment (akin to brother, homie, etc), but in no way can it be as its root meaning is ignorance. It's another double standard of racism in our current time.
