A city in the southern most area of New York State. It is commonly believed to be the "Greatest City In The World" (said mostly by people who have visited it once or twice). The truth is all we have in NYC is the best pizza and assholes. The tourists who come to new york are the worst, and imagine it to be like something they've seen on TV or in the movies. There's really nothing special about NYC. In the tri-state area many teens enjoy bragging about going to "the city" over the weekend, but if you actually live there it's nothing special. I have been to other cities and many, if not all, have been better than NYC. There are some good things about NYC; if you live here you know where all the good food is, you don't get the "tourist special" and pay the actual price. If you work on it you can attempt to not develop the accent and you will say words like coffee, talk, ask, instead of cawfee, tawk, and axe. One more thing... Anybody who says that they enjoy Times Square is either lying, or a complete moron. Who enjoys walking through a crowd of thousands of people at two in the morning?
Kids who live outside of New York City, eg: westchester, yonkers, Staten Island(I know that they are technically still in the city), New Jersey, Rockland, and other suburbs:

Teen A: I can't wait until friday I'm goin to the city.

Teen B: oh yea? why?

Teen A: because after i get back everyone will think i'm cool.

Teen B: you're a fag.

Kids Who live in New York City:
Teen A: I gotta go into the city today

Teen B: that sucks. good luck

Teen A: I know, my whole day is shot.

A disgusting City in the Northeastern region of the United States filled with trash and the most obnoxious annoying people you will ever meet. The city is also well overcrowded and reeks of an unknown but unbearable stench.
I don't want to go to New York City. It's dirty and the traffic is terrible.

New York City is actually five small counties(boroughs) in the southern part of New York state. Two of the counties are on western Long Island(Queens and Brooklyn); two counties are islands(Manhattan and Staten Island); and one county is on the southern tip of the state(Bronx). New York City is one of the financial capitals of the Western Hemisphere and has many attractions for tourists. Most of these attractions are in Manhattan. However, there are some good places to visit in the other four boroughs.

New York is a great place to visit and has some great restaurants. Be prepared, though. Many things in Manhattan are very expensive. If you want a good, cheap restaurant, I recommend going to one of the other boroughs(specifically Queens). The cultural diversity of New York makes way for many restaurants with cuisines from many countries.

Some good attractions in the city include Bronx Zoo, the Coney Island aquarium, Museum of Natural History, Intrepid Museum, and Statue of Libterty. For sports fans, there is also Shea Stadium in Queens, Yankee Stadium in Bronx, Giants Stadium and Prudential Center in nearby New Jersey, Madison Square Garden in Manhattan, and Nassau Veterans Memorial Colloseum in Nassau county(east of Queens).

Despite all this, New York City does have its problems. Inflation is causing the prices of good to go up even more. Not to mention, gentrification and other things are causing housing to go up. Ever since 9/11, it's been getting worse and worse to live in the city. Even in the less expensive outer boroughs. On top of this, some of the residents are arrogant morons who like to talk about how great the city is. Some parts of the city are also areas you want to stay away from(Harlem, certain parts of Brooklyn, Queens, and Bronx).
*Tourists from another city.*

1st tourist: New York City has been a great place to visit the last four days. The Statue of Liberty looks splendid from here. We should go see it.

2nd tourist: Sure, then we can go to Shea Stadium later and watch those Mets get whipped by the Braves! The Braves shall rise again!

1st tourist: Ok...

Once the capital of the United States. Apparently it was such a horrible place they moved it to some other place. NYC continues this reputation today by transporting its infestation to a paradise known as south Florida, thus ruining it forever.
Homer Simpson: New York City is a hellhole. And you know how I feel about hellholes!

"New York City is a massive pile of garbage on America's east coast, and is thankfully downwind to the rest of America's citizens. It is the only city in the country that prides itself on being over-priced, filthy, and rude to visitors, yet out-of-towners still show up in droves.

Citizens of New York City are generally douchebags. They rarely take pride in anything they've accomplished in life, but rather where their mother happened to shit them out. People who no longer live in NYC will tell you how great it is (in barely understandable English) even though you didn't ask and couldn't care less.

As of 9/11/2001, apparently EVERYONE in New York City and the surrounding cities, or even people who had a layover there once, narrowly averted death by changing their travel plans that day. They usually tell this to everyone within earshot to score sympathy.

In summation, New York City is to be avoided at all costs. Furthermore, Hollywood should stop making lame-ass movies and TV shows there, because we're all fucking sick of it.

Vinny: "I say Queens is the bestest burrough in New York City!"

Bob: "You live in Seattle now, retard. Nobody here gives a shit." "

New York City:
A World Class City, above all else in North America. It's really a joke when bitter, miserable Massholes (or people in other New England states blindly allying themsleves to them) poke fun at NY because of their own insecurities about their lame excuse for a city, Boston. Boston is not even 1/10 the city New York is population-wise, and not even 1% fun-wise. If this isn't enough fuya, which it never is for BloSux fans, read on. Some Massholes may even attempt to reason that Boston is a better city for families and visting... BULL-FUCKING-SHIT! Tell me how many people visit Boston... then tell me how many like it. It's only a good city if you like getting shit-faced with a bunch of miserable Bostonians during one of the city's bad sports teams performances. Before I end, the weather there, like the people, is always fucking cold and clammy.

I win. New York City wins.

See you in 2086 Red Sux, you SUCK!!!

Give it up Boston, you just suck and can't handle it!

FYI I am from Connecticut NOT New York and I am really fucking sick of hearing massholes bashing this great American city.
Bostonian: If I could kill any state it'd be New Yahk (New York City in Masshole Language)
Me: Listen if ya think "killin", or whateva ya mean by that, New Yawk will make Boston the best city, you're retarded... yud hafta kill the other 250 decent cities in our country ta do that.
Bostonian: Fuck you. Go Sox!!
Me: Just keep sayin that ya pile uh shit.

An overpriced, overrated, skyscraper filled, industrial wasteland in the Hudson River Valley in the state of New York.
How can anyone live among all this overcrowding and filth in New York City? Life is much better in the South.

After living in Brooklyn All my life, The only thing I could say is that I would rather live in a trashcan. This is absolutely the worst place in the world for me. I hate every single aspect of this depressing, downfilled, shitty, sacrcastic excuse for a city.
"Children in Africa are starving every day and live on landfill sites"

"Well... at least it's better than New York City.

New York City is like 1/2 shit hole and the other 1/2 is awsome. I'll give it places like time square central park and shit like that, but most of it is filled with traffic and mobs of people. The air smells like shit from all the car exaust. To some people it might be the greatest place in the U.S. or maybe even the world, but thats probably only because the only places they've ever been to there are like Brodway and Madison Square Garden. Some people just love NYC because september 11th happened and they've never even been there before. It's not like I don't care that that happened but that doesn't make NYC any better of a place. If your from NYC I respect you, NYC is just not for me.
i <3 new york
pish tosh, thats cause you've never been anywhere else
