Urban design movement started in the late 1980 aiming to reform all aspects of real estate development; Movement to make suburbs look like a city without including the amenities New Urbanism guides development at all scales; I blame New Urbanism for the increase in my taxes.

New urbanist villages contain shopping centers and community centers. Many people may work in the city, but there are job opportunites within the village. Also, not all new urbanism developemnents are built in the suburbs, many redevelopment projects are built in the downtown section of cities as well.
