DESCRIPTION
MDMA, or 'ecstasy' is a 'psychedelic amphetamine' that has gained popularity over the past 20 years because of its ability to produce strong feelings of comfort, empathy, and connection to others. It most frequently comes in tablet form, although it is occasionally sold in capsules or as powder. It is most frequently used orally and rarely snorted. MDMA use is closely tied to the underground rave (and dance club) scene throughout the world, but has also been widely used by therapists as an adjunct to psychotherapy.
Because MDMA is so popular and because it goes well with dance parties, the demand for it usually exceeds supply--especially at any given location on any given night. This creates an opening for unscrupulous individuals to sell virtually anything as 'ecstasy'. Ecstasy pills are notoriously unreliable in content, more so than most other street drugs, and commonly contain either caffeine, ephedrine, amphetamines, MDA, MDE, DXM, or--in rare cases--DOB, and don't necessarily contain MDMA or any psychoactive. This problem has led to the development of simple MDMA testing kits that may help give the user a general sense of the content of a pill.
Dose
A standard oral dose of MDMA is between 80 - 150 mg. Most good quality pills contain somewhere in this range, generally 80-120 mg. A large percentage of users find that, unlike with many other psychoactives such as LSD or mushrooms, there is a 'sweet spot' in MDMA dosage. Once this spot is found, higher dosages are not particularly desirable as they don't increase the sought after effects or duration.
Price
The price of MDMA varies wildly depending on where it's purchased and in what quantity. A single tablet bought at a rave can cost as much as $50 though more commonly $20-$30. Purchased in higher quantities MDMA generally sells for $100-$250 per gram (about $10-25 per dose), with wholesale prices as low as $50 per gram.

In Britain, MDMA is becoming more popular as people see it as a purer form of Exctasy.
It is generally bought in powder form in wraps and is snorted in the same way as cocaine. Because of its supposed purity it is more expensive than pills but it is just as likely to be cut with other substances, eg. Talcum Powder. Do you want to pay £15-£20 a gram for Talcum powder?
As a fairly new and increasingly popular drug there is little quality control (whereas with weed for instance, people expect a certain standard and dealers have to match it). It is likely that at each stage of dealership something has been cut into it, so I would advise anyone dabbling in MDMA to be cautious of being given a bum deal - or a seriously deadly concoction.

Eric snorted 3 lines of MDMA, but all he got was a sore nose because the dealer sold him fake stuff.

Long term use can cause Alot of Mental illness'. For instance Chronic Aniexty if not treated can lead to bigger and more terrifying mental dieases. MDMA triggers your serotonin receptors. I have personally used MDMA and over dosed twice on it. I only took one pill. I used to do MDMA 2 times a week and one night i got a bad pill. Which had DXM in it (Dextromethorphan) Which was mixed when mixed it makes your body over heat there fore making you od. I have suffered from Chronic Anxiety. It doesnt sound that horrible but once you have it its hard to get rid of. It complicates your life i have a hard time falling asleep and i used complusively lie. Its not a joke MDMA or Ecstasy is a no-joke drug. When people tell you you will not have any mental issues in your future they are very wrong. Beware of fake pills those can easily kill you. I have been in a horrible postion before with X and i can never take it again or else i will over dose again and probably die. Be very careful. I dont think anyone should experiance this drug.
