You just made something awesome. You share it with a fellow maker. They proceed to tell you why you should have used different parts, coded in a different language, and if you'd just asked, they would have saved you a lot of time. Its mansplaining - but for makers.
"I was proud of the new thing I made, but Bill told me I did it all wrong. He would have used python on a Raspberry Pi."
