channel that was good when it was called "M2", but now its morphed along w/mtv and vh1. they do play videos on mtv2 but unfortunatley its either some crap from the 80's or some new sissy shit. well, at least carson daly hasn't contaminated mtv2 yet!!

their slogan is 'stop asking where the music is at'. They used to play a wide variety of music videos, then it turned into nothing but hip hop. heres the progression:
hip hop weekend, then hip hop week, then hip hop month with the same three groups rapping. how lame. I saw 'till death do us part' on mtv and switched it to mtv2, only to see the same episode of till death do us part. I vomited all over my tv. mtv2 says: stop asking where the musics at?

A channel that satisfied the demands of music video fanatics who where fed up with MTV's reality shows and other non-music-video related programming.
Unfortunately, MTV2 now plays some of the same shows that MTV does, making it almost unwatchable to the music video fanatic. Eventually, they'll need MVTV, a channel that only plays music videos. "How come they don't play any videos anymore on MTV OR MTV2?"
"Either fewer artists are making fewer videos, or MTV is greedy and needs to make a few bucks selling their own shitty shows to a bunch of 15 year old girls who would jump from a bridge if you told them to." |
