A good rapper from Chicago. He creates great rhythms and has good lyrics, but has a couple of whacked ideas. For example, he thinks if you're rich, you can pay the government to survive AIDS. He got this from the fact that Magic Johnson, a former NBA star, has been living with AIDS for a long time, and is still living a healthy life. But this is because he has been very careful about the things he eats and he works out constantly. Most people who get AIDS can extend their life expectancy by doing the exact same things, and staying positive about their life. NOT by paying off the government. Also, he has a very negative view to white people. He thinks George Bush hates black people. George Bush is just stupid. I'm black, and I realize this. This is ironic, because at least 65% of his fans are white, yet he is still an asshole to the white community. He also created a song about how the white people exploited the people of Sierra Leone to get to their diamonds (Diamonds of Sierra Leone), which is a true fact. But he made over 1 million $ from the song, and donated very little if that to charities in Africa. Very hypocritical.

But he is still one of thegreatest rappers of all time.

Kanye West is a racist. Not that this should come as a newsflash to anyone who has ever listened to his music. West’s new album Late Registration just debuted at number one on the billboard charts, selling 860,000 copies in its first week. But the press has largely given the hip hop star a pass for his outrageous comments during an NBC telethon for Hurricane Katrina victims. As most Americans now know, the hugely successful rapper claimed that the government was sending troops to New Orleans not to help those in need but to “shoot us” and accused President Bush of not caring about blacks. But the fact that West is himself a racist must not be overlooked, or, as is the case with the mainstream media, completely ignored.

You won’t find any criticism of West on MTV, which has aired numerous documentaries in the past attacking hate speech, including questioning white rapper Eminem’s anti-homosexual lyrics. But MTV and other outlets apparently have no problem with West’s referring to whites as “the devil” or his claim that when a drug dealer buys Jordans and a “crack head buy crack…the white man get paid.” Funny, I don’t recall getting any royalty checks from local crack sales last month.

In a hit song off West’s new album, he degrades a black man who leaves his woman for “a white girl.” And in a recent interview with Stuff Magazine, West said...

Call him what you may. An asshole, a genius or a gayfish (even though its terribly old now). But one thing is for sure: the mainstream music industry needs him, and that is why he's so valuable. Anyone with any knowledge would know that Kanye has made one of the biggest impacts on hip-hop. The College Dropout was the mark of a new era in hip-hop. He was never the soulful rapper, he was the different one. From his high-pitched samples, all the way to working with John Mayer and Adam Levine. What people don't see is this: he started a foundation to help kids get through school, blamed himself for his mothers tragic death, and all people can look at is the Taylor Swift incident. Kanye may not be the best person in the world, but without him, music simply wouldn't be the same.

A rapper who thinks Ronald Reagan created cocaine and AIDS to destroy the civil rights movement. Nowadays makes the claim that "George Bush doesn't care about black people." Even rappers like 50 Cent think this is an idiotic and ignorant claim, however.
Also assumed to be a black supremist, judged by his beliefs.
