The deepest, most talented lyricist ever to set foot in the rap game. Even his commercialized hits have hints of his talent. If you don't like Jay-Z, please sit down and actually listen to what he's saying in one of his deeper songs. If you're anything less than ignorant, you'll start to see the truth.
Jay-Z. The hottest that ever did it, man.

The greatest rapper of all time, without a doubt. Made history with his first album, Reasonable Doubt, and made even more history with his last album, The Black Album, Hov has become the most respected M.C in the game. When you hear of Jay-Z, you can immediately think of greatness.
Did you hear that new jay-z song?
yeah, he's the greatest rapper of all time.

Jay-Z is without a question ever. To be number #1 for 7 years is a level that probally only Michael Jackson has experianced. But un-like Mike Jay went out on top. In addition to that he was hotter than all rappers without even writting down a single letter of his songs. To have Multiple Albums go platinum without writting a single word of his music alone has to make him number one. Doesn't it?

here is a REAL smaple of Jay-z rap:

" I had to hustle, my back to the wall, ashy knuckles
Pockets filled with a lot of lint, not a cent
Gotta vent, lot of innocent of lives lost on the project bench
Whatchu hollerin? Gotta pay rent, bring dollars in
By the bodega, iron under my coat, feelin braver
Doo-rag wrappin my waves up, pockets full of hope
Do not step to me - I'm awkward, I box leftier often
My pops left me an orphan, my momma wasn't home
Could not stress to me I wasn't grown; 'specially on nights
I brought somethin home to quiet the stomach rumblings
My demeanor - thirty years my senior
My childhood didn't mean much, only raisin green up
Raisin my fingers to critics; raisin my head to the sky
Big I did it - multi before I die (nigga)
No lie, just know I chose my own fate
I drove by the fork in the road and went straight"
