The iron maiden was a torturing device used under the medieval age and forward in Germany. It is basically a coffin with alot of various spikes lining the door. It wasn't made for killing, it was made for inflicting pain, though I believe the victims quite oftenly died, after screaming a day or two.
Iron Maiden so roxx!
No what are you saying! It's awful! I cannot believe how cruel humankind is.

One of the best bands in the history of music. Have influenced so many other bands to date including: Metallica, Iced Earth and Dream Theater to name a few. Have currently done 14 studio albums. Also most americans seem to think they are satanists - ummm no...

The greatest metal band in the world. People who say Metallica owe nothing to them because they started at the same time, YOU ARE WRONG. Steve Harris formed Iron Maiden in 1975, six years before James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich's first meeting.
The current lineup is:
Lead Vocals - Bruce Dickinson
Bass - Steve Harris
Guitars - Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, Janick Gers
Drums - Nicko McBrain
Each member is amazing in their own way, and the band has stood the test of time against punk, 80's pop, grunge and nu-metal (totally different to Maiden, and SHIT)
Steve Harris formed a band hoping to live up to his metal peers only to surpass them.
Nicko McBrain has a funny face :p
Phantom of the Opera and Hallowed Be Thy Name are amazing songs

One of my favourite british metal bands next to Judas priest, every album rocks even the x factor and virtual xi. One of the best bands to see live and I would see them every day if i could manage it.
Judas priest dug the road and layed the tarmac, Iron maiden drew the road lines and made the road signs.

Iron Maiden and Judas Priest go great together when chilling out to their music
