Unfortunately, one of the most popular cars among young people today. Unnecessary modifications are commonly seen on these "automobiles". If you are lucky, you just might see one on the road that doesn't have any alterations. But that is highly improbable and would lead to only two other possible reasons:

1. They are on their way to auto zone
2. They are on their way to Carmax to sell it so another poor uneducated soul can take possession of it to realize in a week the mistake they made.

It is perfectly natural to see a Civic with:
-Muffler big enough to fit a small child in (ages 1-3)
-Wing on the back so big that the U.S. Air Force sends you "preferred customer" slips in the mail every week
-Tinted windows that don't match the car's color scheme (usually installed by color blind individuals of Spanish decent)
-Fluorescent lighting underneath the car, which can be purchased at your local Ace Hardware store
-Ghost flames on the side that are done so bad it give it the effect that the car was in an accident.
-Front right tire missing the hub cap and/or spare tire
-Fake hood scoop(s)
-Neon lit windshield washer outlets
-A removed "H" emblem from the front of the car
-Missing side view mirror
-Different color bumper
-One fake spinner rim (usually located on one of the rear wheels)
-Lowered to the point so that scrapping of the pavement can draw attention
-Stock horn supplied by fisher price

Despite the uselessness of this vehicle on the road, it does provide a good number of useful attributes:
-The new energy efficient hybrids are still powered by the usual AA batteries (not included), but newly equipped with live hamsters running on hamster wheels under the hood to power the car while it sits at idle or the gas pedal is released.
-Add the mammoth muffler for a simple 5 person to a new 6-person capacity conversion
-For only $2.00 more you can add a spoiler big enough so you can cut the grass with your Honda

The choice of car for most spics. You usually wont be able to tell its a Civic because all of the shitty modifications. They might look somewhat fast when the spics "soup up their whip" but it wont go faster than 75 mph.
Jose- Hey mang how about you race your camaro against my Honda Civic?

John wins by 15 minutes

The most BORING car ever. Built since the 70's, and got popular in the USA during the 70's gas crisis. A cheap car that was designed soley to get good gas mileage, but looks like a cartoon car that took 2 minutes to design. Today they are popular with ignorant people who don't care what they drive as long as it gets them to point A, B, or C. And of course wiggers and gang bangers who put stupid mufflers on them that make them sound like weed wackers. They also put tail spoilers on them that don't even match the car, or give them ugly paint jobs.
Ok, I understand people care about getting good gas mileage but seriously...kill off the Honda Civic. It is a bland dull car with a horrible image these days.

a medium-sized truck, which has good gas mileage and can tow as much as a Ford F-250
You guys wanna use my Honda Civic to tow your Ford F-250 out of that ditch?

In 1970 when it came out, it was ok, then it became a shitty little faggot car between 1984 and 2001. '97 and '99 were the worst years, however, they've looked nice since then. Now days, when ever you see a civic from the 90's, it tends to have a front bumper, driver door, hood, and fenders that don't fit and aren't the same color. Usually red BBS wheels, an exhaust mark on what's left of the rear bumper, and you can hear the muffler sound a mile away, literally.
A Honda Civic simply can't make it over a speedbump in my neighborhood, they bottom of the car would fall apart!

To the general public, who obviously know nothing about cars, the Honda Civic's prime selling point is its relativly low price and wide readily available assortment of after-market parts. Any car can be made to go 155MPH provided you have the right parts and the right knowlege to tune it, as I have with my own. I spent little on the parts that were nessessary in improving the car performance. To date, with only about 8000 spent, this car can out perform on acceleration, top speed, fuel economy and handling than most mustang Gt's, WRXs, Boxters, and so on. As an economy class sub-compact, the 2001-2005 Honda Civic sports a 1.7L single-cam gasoline engine, (in our groups case have made over 250 safe HP for daily driving) it is a excellent platform for modification. Its low initial cost and lightwieght frame give the Civic the potentional of EXTREME performance which many sluggish V8s cannot even dream of. Make fun the the civic all you want, buck for buck, this car IS the smarter choice for people who "know".
turbo tuned honda civic equals performace for price. Don't bother comparing it to a V10 like most idiots do.
