The large majority of patrons that visit this site as well as "Encyclopedia Dramatica". They generally consist of persons who begin to hate something, not because of it's value (or lack there of) but merely that it has reached a state of popularity that is suddenly aggravating.

When such a state has been reached, a group of "Haters" will pop into existence and spew their un-backed opinions to the masses. While some generally do hate something for it's worthily hateful merits, most do not and in a meager attempt to step away from the bandwagon just jump on into a new more fashionable one. Haters such as this generally have only listened/read/seen a small portion of what it is they are hating and have only gone thus far in making their decision upon whether or not they hate it.

The few haters who do back up their opinions do so in a way that is often more calm and controlled because they don't feel the need to put so much energy into "hating" something.

A person that simply cannot be happy for another person's success. So rather than be happy they make a point of exposing a flaw in that person.

Hating, the result of being a hater, is not exactly jealousy. The hater doesnt really want to be the person he or she hates, rather the hater wants to knock somelse down a notch.

Overused word that people like to use just because someone else expresses a dislike for a certain individual.

The formation of a hater's contempt commonly arises from jealously and/or resentment. Individuals that make fun of, or "hate," others for justified reasons cannot be legitimately classified as "haters;" although many faggots attempt to rationalize their own situations by doing so. Additionally, the word "hater" is frequently overused, mainly by members of the rap and hip-hop communities.

A person who feels anger and/or jealousy for someone who has succeeded in something they have worked hard for.

A label applied to people who are more negative than positive when discussing another person. It most commonly refers to individuals whose negativity is so extreme that it is all-consuming. However, there are various levels and forms of being a hater, ranging from completely dismissing any positive traits or actions, to merely painting a less than flattering picture by using words with negative connotations. Hating is often attributed to jealousy, but just as often, it seems to stem from some other source.

The most non-insulting "insult" in existence. It's a waste of breath to say it and a waste of energy to type it. This term is often used by pre-teen girls whenever someone insults their favorite teeny bopper singers. If you ever call somene a hater, find the nearest knife and use it pierce your lungs for polluting our air with that fucking stupid word.
