Early Life And Career

Born as Frank Jäger to German-American and Vietnamese parents, Frank's parents died during the Vietnam War while he was still a child. As a result, he was discriminated against due to his half-Caucasian heritage and was forced to work hard labor for the war effort. However, he was shortly taken into custody by Big Boss and became his foster son.

After Frank became an adult, he joined the armed forces and participated as a soldier for the Renamo during the Mozambican Civil War. During one of his missions, he was captured by Frelimo soldiers and had his ears and nose cut off during a torture session (later reattached). He was rescued a few days later by Big Boss. It was around this time that Frank adopted an orphaned girl named Naomi in Rhodesia and cared for her as an older brother. He adopted Naomi out of personal guilt for killing her parents during the war, but Naomi was unaware of this.

he was a member of Fox Hound (a mercenary organization) and was killed by Solid Snake during the Outer Heaven incident. After which, he was revived as a Cyborg Ninja.
He was given the codename FOX which is the reserved only for the best Fox Hound members.
