As if the fact that people utterly cheat by using GameFAQs isn't bad enough, they also have this Internet "forum" run down by a community full of many different kinds of people, but I will run down the list: grammar whores, grammar whores, nerds, losers, over-excited losers, pervs, Nintendo fanboys, people who act like GameFAQs is life, and smart and funny people, but we'll ignore those for now, because they're always ignroed by the legions of people who use "1337" common Internet lingo that is supposed to boosts' one's low self esteem, and are marked by people who are sucks ups and whose dreams it is to become a fucking moderator in life.
Okay, and while usually it runs fairly smoothly like this, whenever one posts a topic, you usually get sucky responses. Normally, when people don't know the answers to quetions one asks, they just say "Oh, look, you spelled going wrong, hahahah," or "nice grammar, dude." Hah, faggots, stupid fucking asshole fucking bitches.
Next up is the peopel who are pervs: normally, when someone posts something, some sick joke about boobs, vaginas, penises, etc. will come into play by nerds, and sometimes they arne't even funy. The nerds and losers use 1337, and it is apparently to boost teir "cool points." Worst of all, they always are goody-goodies who don't break the ToS and are always posting things like "lol *steals ur cookie on your b-day THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO NOW! MUAHAHAHAH! *slaps u hahahah I win* They're such retards, and I wonder if they do hat in real life. Oh wait, these same people are depressed and go to the Internet to bolst up their courage.
Now, there are no such things as opinions on Satan's Asshole, err, GayFAGs. I don't get why people argue and insult each other on something as trivial as a fuckin game. Especially Nintendo fanboys, who don't let anyone say anything about their precious Metroid being boring or their Mario sucking, because they will say you can go shove your head up your ass if they think you're insultign Nintendo's "wisdom" of thousands of ports. People will patrol the site until you say that Zelda is the best series. They will also play a game day to night and think about every little thing, let me just give you a small shout-out to SamFisherDS.
And, boy, the moderators, the people who supposedly "help the site" but not only destroy it, but destory their lives in the process. Now, they will always moderate you for everything like being very funny and they love ruining funny jokes. You will get modded for just voicing your opinion, or saying something besides little immature pretend parties and whatnot, or being very funny, or if they are losing an embarrassing argument. Social stuff is a no no, and even topics related to the game are apparently off-topic. Andd they think they're clever and are God. Eat my ass, you fucking sluts, you moderate One time I was making an ass ot of myself on the Message Board Help, apologized, but I got banned even though I was not joking. You can supposedly constest this, but the moderators will never change their minds. Flawed system. On top of it, people who want to beomce a mod in life mark everything they see, even if it's good.
And the karma system is so suckie. Anyone who doesn't have over 1000 karma is thought of as someone who has a bad opinion, and knows nothing. Baiscally, you get it for logging in once a day, so someone with 900 karma is instantly more fun to be with than a genius of 20 karma.
So, there's nothign good at all about GayFAGs. Everything has some sort of loophole and makes the site feel exploited. The most improtant part is the community, but most are dumbasses who are seeking depression cure. The end. Never ever go there. EVER. Unless you want people who will badly influence you and make you obsessed with games and GameFAQs.
An average day on the GameFAQs Message Boards:
Poster 1: Wow, os how did my birthday come so fast?
Poster 2: Err, you spelled so wrong.
Poster 3: Because you touch yourself at night.
Poster 4: *gives you cookies and throws party*
Poster 5: *steals cookies*
Poster 6: whhhaaaat who cares, you're a newbie.
Poster 7: You should get a Nintendo system ONLY.
Poster 8: \/\/0\/\/ Y0U 4R3 s0000 1337
Poster 9: Happy birthday!
Poster 10: Can't we get something better around these boards than someone's fuckin birthday?
*poster 10 is then modded because he was voicing his opinion*

Hell in the Internet form. A place where people go to post pointless character polls, stories about their uninteresting lives, song lyrics, emo poems, argue about overrated games, emote stupidities, and generally be an all around idiot. Half of the users there don’t even understand the function of the shift key. The few people that are actually sane, original, and witty are always silenced by the power-hungry moderators.
The GameFAQs message boards brainwash their users with some crazy pretend currency system called "Karma" and "Marked Message Accuracy" (MMA). It’s a shame that people can be so easily tricked by imaginary suck-up points.
“Reading the GameFAQs message boards makes me cry.”
“GameFAQs message boards? More like LameFAQs message boards. olololol!

Sadly, a wonderful idea and potentially one of the coolest forums on Earth, if not for major flaws that completely ruin any enjoyment from it's users.more...
1. The basic system:
- Possibly the most inconvenient, inaccessible and unintuitive message board system I've EVER seen. Everything you are allowed to do, even the most basic amenities of forum usage are presented as "rewards" for accumulating high "karma" (an ironic term at best). Basically a badge of honor and level of validity to one's membership gained simply by signing on. You could type by mashing the keys with your face everyday for a year and be more accepted than a newbie with halfway decent ideas.
"Want to delete a post? Sorry Karma is too low. Want to search your own posts? Sorry. Mark a troll for harassing you? Sorry. Want to post more than ten times a day? Sorry"....you get the picture.
- There is no messaging system, so communicating on a personal level is impossible. They even make a point of saying the possible inclusion of such, is not even up for discussion.
- No 'Edit post' feature at all. Which means a lot of deleted posts which still take up room, and a LOT of double or triple posting and even more typos that certainly fail to go unnoticed by the site's "grammar police".
You think with all the pop ups and drop downs, this place could spring for some convenience...
- The karma system only serves to create an elitist atmosphere where the opinions of anyone with low karma are immediately wr...

A message board on the internet that has been destroyed by ignorant people, who call other people ignorant trolls. They constantly tell people that they're ignorant if they state a minor opinion. Look at examples for troll vs. non-troll. The game boards are flooded with fanboys who think that their games are gods. The social boards are invaded with losers(and the other kind by same pronounciation, if you know what I mean) who have no good life and live on the social boards. The Regs and Vets are often the rulers of either a gaming board or a social board, because they aren't good enough for the higher social boards.
User1: I think that Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask was better than Ocarina of Time because the story was much more deeper, and that the dungeons were more challenging, although there were only 4 main dungeons. The sidequests did make up for the limited dungeons, too.
User2: You are an ignorant troll for posting this crap. You need to DIE because you think that MM is better than OoT. OoT is THE BEST ZELDA GAME with NO FLAWS. Limited sidequests in OoT is a bunch of BS. Go back to your troll cave, troll. *Mods u lolz*
User1: hey i just played wind waker bc my friends said it was good. well, i didnt really like it that much bc the game was waay too short compared to the rest of the series. i hope that the next game will be better!
User2: There is NO such thing as a short Zelda game. You're a blind troll just bashing tWW because you think its graphics were kiddy. Admit it, you KNOW it's true that you think the graphics were kiddy! C'mon! ADMIT IT!
User1: no i actually liked the graphi--
andor3: STFU you troll.

A place full of losers who piss and moan about spelling mistakes and grammar (although half the time when they refer to "grammar", they really mean spelling)
Also the game boards are populated with more losers who blindly defend the respective game, and automatically label any dissenters fanboys/trolls. (anyone who doesn't like GoldenEye: Rogue Agent is automatically labelled a GoldenEye or Halo fanboy for example) Anyone who doesn't particularly like whatever game the board is based on is automatically a troll and must be banned.
GoldenEye: Rogue Agent boards at GameFAQs. There was one topic on there where the starter explained his reasons for disliking Rogue Agent. The whole thing was completely thrown off topic because of a couple of people who couldn't get over the fact that he didn't use capitals - they thought this was "bad grammar".

Like the dude above me said, GameFAQS comes very close to Fascism. Cjayc (the owner) must know this because if you call some one a Fascist or compare anything to Fascism you'd be dealt with severely. Cjayc wants you to believe that he does this for good reasons, because no one deserves that comparison. He also insults you saying any one who does make that comparison has no knowledge of history. Way to protect your ass. Cjayc being the leader obviously represents Hitler. Then there are a select few in a class called Admin. If you contest a moderation, these people will review it, MOST likely side with the moderator (I've never heard of it going the other way around). The moderator could be dead wrong and the admin will STILL side with them (this I know from personal experience). I'll go more into detail about how flawed this is in my example. Simply put, the Admin could be compared to General Rommel except nowhere near as intelligent or strategic. Then you have the moderators themselves who can be compared to the Gestapo, the secret police. I tell you write now, I have never seen a more corrupt form of executive power than these people. What really seperates the Admin from the Moderators is the maturity factor. The Moderators more than often take sides, and join in the arguments themselves. And of course it is no surprise that the moderators are dimwits and when they see they are losing the arguement, THEN they mod you. Finally you have the regular posters. You can split th...more...

Let's start with a basic description of the GameFAQs Message Boards and the moderators. The mods are basically like a certain group in history that tried to kill anyone that they did not like. I will put these guys into simple catergories for easier reading.more...
Users - These guys could either be the civilians that snitch on people in hiding for cash(which, in this case, is karma)or these guys could be the short-lived rebellion. Within the rebellion group, we have the sub-catergories. We've got the defensive ones that don't do anything unless they are provoked into doing so and then you've got the offensive guys, who will try to strike first. The defensive guys are basically the users that usually do good enough to not get any moderations, but when they get a moderation for something silly, that's when they cuss out people, thus resulting in more heat from the mods. The offensive guys, are the guys that intentionally get themselves modded, as a symbol of defiance. Most of these guys are the trolls(who are explained later) and the account suiciders. These guys, ironically, are the only reason to even step near the message boards. They are so entertaining, that even the suckiest troll/account suicide topics are hilarious in some way.
Then you've got the snitches. The guys that are the "I never do anything wrong!" type of guys. They mark messages here and there, thinking that they are doing anything of significance. These guys have hopes of becoming moderators(as weird as t...
