The 1967 Ford Mustang GT 500 by Shelby, named 'Eleanor', from the movie 'Gone In 60 Seconds'. The car in the movie was a Shelby kit car. If it had been original (as the movie portrays it), it would have been worth well over $100,000. Shelby also created a number of GT 350 Mustangs, with smaller engines.
The 2005 Ford Mustang. The front of third of the car is a stylized version of the front of the 1964 Mustang (the first year of the Mustang) and the back third of the car is a stylized version of the back of the 1970-71 Mustang's back. The cab is a stylized version of the 1964-68 Mustang Fastback. Interestingly, early drafts of the 2005 did not feature a back seat. The car has met with overwhelming approval from the auto industry, and it comes as a relief, considering a number of 'retro cars' have more or less flopped (i.e. the Plymouth Prowler and the Chrylser PT Cruiser).
Although a prime example of American muscle, the Mustang was also popular as a mid-powered cruiser.

**guys in the Mustang peel out when the light turns green and take off down the road looking stupid**
bottom line is that girls should stick to volkswagen beetles and pt cruisers and all the other chick cars out there. the mustang has always been and should be owned by the guy population, and it is a guy car. don't spoil it
