Doing a Ben

Repeatedly posting and re-posting memes, images or links in chats or threats when they have been posted by previous contributors already. Not clear where this originated but is basically referring to someone who wants to add content but can't be bothered to scroll back or read other people's posts or contributions. Presumably originally referred to a specific person but now seen in several different forums

X already posted that literally five minutes ago, stop doing a Ben.

When a player in GTA reminds others about security cameras then runs directly in sight of them, then flat out denies any wrong doing.

Ben: guys camera, CAMERA GUYS !!
*Ben runs off directly in sight of camera*
*clockstrikes1 has alerted security*
Ben: what happened ?
Team: you ran into the camera
Ben: no I didn’t

Team: Ben you pulled a Ben again

When a suggestion or statement is said, and in less than a minute someone says the same thing, oblivious that it has already being said.

Matthew: Hey. Wanna go get something to eat?
Kieren: Sure. Why Not?
Danny: Lets go to subway.
Kieren: Lets Go!

1 Minute Later

Ben: Wanna go subway for dinner?
Matthew: You're Doing A Ben, yet again.

doing the ben

The act of deleting one's messages before anyone else is able to reply to them or even read them. If one actually manages to reply in time, they should be awarded an Olympic medal. Even if one messages has been replied to, it is still not safe from being deleted anyway.

Person: "Ugh, he deleted his message again - just when I was about to reply. Now I can't send it anymore."
Other Person: "So he's doing the ben again..."

Doing A Ben.

When one individual gives you a specific time frame but then proceeds to deviate drastically whilst simultaneously keeping everyone else waiting.

For example:

A: Where is he, he said he would be here in 5 minutes, 4 hours ago.
B: Don't worry about it. He's just doing a Ben.
